Senior Volleyball Vickrey T, TH | 8 am – 12 pm Free | Ages: 50+ The Vickrey Resource Center Gym is open exclusively to seniors for volleyball. Come out and play!

Our senior programming is designed to keep our city thriving. Whether it be through social events, support groups or programming out of our dedicated senior center, we are always looking for opportunities to promote meaningful connections among community members age 50+.

DANCE

Over 50 Ballroom Dance Club Sanders Beach-Corinne Jones T | 6:30 pm – 9 pm $10 Non-Members, $5 Members Ages: 50+ Enjoy meeting new people and dancing to a live performing band! All levels of experience are welcome. Specialty dances are hosted throughout the year.

Line Dancing Bayview Senior M | 2 pm – 3 pm Free | Ages: 50+ A dance class in which participants dance along to a repeating sequence of steps while arranged in one or more lines or rows.

FITNESS

Ageless Grace Gull Point M, W, F | 11:30 am – 12:30 pm $5 daily rate, $25 monthly rate | Ages: 50+ Ageless Grace is based on neuroplasticity that activates all five functions of the brain while simultaneously addressing all twenty-one physical skills needed for lifelong optimal function.

Chair Aerobics Gull Point M, W, F | 9:30 am – 10:30 am $2 | Ages: 50+ Increase your flexibility and your heart and lung health with this low-impact fitness class.

Exercise with John and Blake Bayview Senior T | 9 am – 10 am Free | Ages: 50+ This popular strength, balance and flexibility class is sponsored by Island Doctors. Get your blood pumping in this fun workout with beloved fitness experts John and Blake!

MARTIAL ARTS

Tai Chi Bayview Senior M, W |11 am – 12 pm Free | Ages: 18+ An internal Chinese martial art practiced for defense training, health benefits and meditation. Come practice among friends and find your inner chi.

MIND AND BODY

Chair Yoga Bayview Senior TH | 9 am – 10 am Free | Ages: 50+ Modified yoga performed while seated in a chair.

Dementia Support Group 50+ Bayview Senior Every 2nd T | 1 pm Free | Ages: 50+ Attend our year-round support and educational group for caregivers and anyone suffering from dementia.

Hand and Shoulder Massage Bayview Senior W | 11 am – 2 pm Free | Ages: 50+ Free hand and shoulder massages sponsored by SMalone Wellness. Sign up at the Bayview Senior Resource Center Front Desk.

Movement and Meditation Bayview Senior W | 10 am – 11 am Free | Ages: 50+ Seated exercise that is nourishing to both the body and mind.

Senior Lunch Program Cobb, Bayview Senior and Gull Point M – F | 11 am – 12 pm Free ($2 donation encouraged) | Ages: 60+

Bingo Bayview Senior TH | 12:30 am – 2 pm $.50 per game card | Ages: 50+ Come out for six games of bingo every Thursday afternoon year-round.

Bridge Bayview Senior M – F | 12 pm Free | Ages: 50+ Bridge is a trick-taking card game using a standard fifty-two-card deck. Come out and play!
