WA PROGRAM

Every now and again, an extraordinary opportunity comes to a company. For Playwriting Australia, this year it has been the chance to significantly expand our work in Western Australia with support from the Department of Culture and the Arts WA. I’m delighted to launch our new program for WA artists. We’re looking to extend the range of creative developments available, commission four new works, increase

the pool of highly skilled dramaturgs, and make local playwriting far more woven into the national conversation. WA’s new plays are brimming with vision, vigour, and fervour. Playwriting Australia is honoured and proud to be working more closely with you all, and I look forward to getting to know you better over the coming months and years. Tim Roseman Artistic Director
