EVENTS & MARKETING The Plaza District Association promotes the district to a wide audience through events and marketing including:

LIVE on the PLAZA a monthly 2nd Friday artwalk featuring visual artists, live music, local shopping, food and fun. Key audience: young professionals, families, professionals, empty-nesters Key purpose: To expose the district to new audiences, provide arts experiences for the public, create regular monthly foot traffic to district Anticipated attendance: 1500 spring, summer, fall/ 800 winter Event Started: 2008

PLAZA DISTRICT FESTIVAL annual festival featuring over 50 visual artist lined down 16th Street, over 200 performing artists, and a variety of children’s art educational activities Key audience: children, families, professionals, emptynesters, creatives, young professionals, broad metro area Key purpose: To expose the Plaza District to new audiences, offer art experiences for public and neighborhood Anticipated attendance: 5000 Event Started: 1997

URBAN PIONEER AWARDS annual luncheon honoring Oklahoma City leaders who have made a significant impact on urban revitalization Key audience: The Oklahoma City business community, professionals and young professionals Key purpose: To honor inner city revitalization efforts and expose the Plaza District to the professional business community Anticipated attendance: 250 Award founded in: 2005
