INTRODUCTION From her studio in South Wales, close to the Gower coast, Ruby makes original and unique porcelain and ceramic jewellery. Each piece is formed by hand, then glazed and fired using a variety of techniques. Locally sourced, high quality materials are used and crafted to a high level to create beautifully detailed one of a kind pieces. Ruby takes inspiration from antique handmade lace and crochet collars, exploring shape, texture and colour to reveal the delicate and intricate details and patterns of the lace. She also uses decals, which are applied to the glazed surface of the porcelain and sealed into the glaze with a third firing, e.g a contemporary twist to the traditional willow pattern plates, and a modern slant on the Victorian fascination with taxidermy in the butterfly necklace. Ruby graduated with BA hons in Visual Art, specialising in print making and History of Art in 1996. She followed this with a post graduate certificate in education and teaches Art and Design to secondary school students. This is where her love of ceramics has grown, from continually experimenting and developing new skills within her teaching. Friends and colleagues encouraged her to begin selling her work after receiving jewellery as gifts. So Ruby set out and began attending produce markets and craft fairs which enabled her to meet many like minded creative people. It has been at these events that she has met gallery and shop owners who now stock her work. Ruby also runs workshops locally and around the UK. This is Rubyâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s first trade brochure and she is looking forward to meeting and supplying new stockists.

NANCY LACE NECKLACE Glistening white porcelain imprinted with delicate vintage lace, intricate details enhanced with colour and antique look chain are enough to guarantee a fabulous stand out piece. Heart measures 4cm across by 3cm, necklace length 16”-18.5” using the extension chain at the back, finished with a tiny porcelain heart. Each heart is hand made, each will be slightly different, according to the lace pattern. They are all very similar to the picture shown, and all as beautiful as each other!

NANCY DECAL NECKLACE Traditional and contemporary decal patterns and illustrations are applied to the surface of the glaze and fired in the kiln for a third time. These necklaces attract attention from a wide audience, lovers of vintage china, bees, butterflies and the romantic notion of roses and pretty florals. Heart measures 4cm across by 3cm, antique effect chain length is 16”-18.5” using the extension at the back, and finished with a tiny porcelain heart.

EVA LACE NECKLACE Eva porcelain hearts have transparent glaze on both sides to create a beautiful shiny white surface. The delicate lace pattern adorns the front of the heart. EVA DECAL NECKLACE Eva porcelain hearts have transparent glaze on both sides to create a beautiful shiny white surface. This becomes the backdrop for ceramic decal transfer patterns. The romantic rose, pretty floral, and traditional willow pattern are applied to the surface of the glaze and fired in the kiln for a third time. The necklace comes on a beautiful sterling silver diamond cut chain (16” or 18”) and adds a touch of sparkle!

DECO LACE NECKLACE Three porcelain curved sections that sit beautifully forming a geometric yet natural curve reminiscent of Art Deco design. The necklace comes on an antique finished chain. Necklace length can be altered to suit (16”-19”) using the extension chain at the back which is finished with a tiny porcelain heart. Each Deco necklace is unique and will have slight differences, such as which part of the lace appears. They are all very similar to the picture shown, and all as beautiful as each other!

LONGHORN NECKLACE The vintage lace impressed longhorn bull necklace has both bohemian chic and rockstar style. It measures 9cm across by 5cm down. It has an antique effect chain, which can be adjusted to suit using the extension chain at the back which is finished with a tiny porcelain star. LOTTIE PORCELAIN NECKLACE

The Lottie porcelain necklace is first coated on both sides with transparent glaze which provides a backdrop for some fun collaging of decal patterns on both the front and back of the 4cm x 4.5cm heart. It then returns to the kiln for a third time to seal the patterns into the glaze. It has a longer length antique effect chain (72cm) but can be ordered on a shorter chain by request.

LACE HEART BRACELET These bracelets have a central heart that features Ruby’s signature vintage lace. They are glazed on both sides and sit very comfortably on the wrist due to the adjustable fastening. DECAL TEARDROP EARRINGS Teardrop shapes are cut with precision from porcelain, they are fired twice in the kiln and then decal patterns are applied. The third firing then seals the pattern into the shiny glazed surface. The teardrops measure 3cm down by 13mm at the widest point. Sterling components and ear wires are used. These earrings complement the Nancy, Eva and Lottie decal necklaces, the decal bracelets, and decal rings.

EAR STUDS These cute little porcelain ear studs have either been imprinted with the most detailed section of lace to create a pretty pattern across the top of the heart/star that is enhanced with colour, or have had a decal pattern applied and fired for a third time. The hearts measure 8mm across by 9mm down. The stars come in 2 sizes; 8mm and 10mm. The ear posts and butterfly backs are sterling silver.

Please allow up to 28 days for delivery. Goods will be despatched on receipt of payment of pro forma. Please allow up to 6 weeks during busy periods such as during or after trade shows and Christmas, every effort will be made to get your order to you ASAP.
