Dear Plymouth Public Schools Community,
As we reflect on the close of the 2023-2024 school year, I extend my sincere gratitude to each of you for your support throughout the year. Your continued dedication, engagement, and collaboration have played an integral role in fostering a nurturing learning environment for our students. As you embrace the summer months ahead, I encourage you to cherish these moments with your children and nurture their curiosity and passion for learning.
Summer break presents a valuable opportunity for relaxation, exploration, and quality time with loved ones Whether you're planning adventurous travels, participating in community activities, or simply enjoying peaceful moments at home, I hope the summer brings abundant joy, laughter, and cherished memories for your families
To our students, I urge you to seize the summer as a time for personal growth and discovery. Prioritize your well-being, indulge in your interests, and challenge yourselves in new and inspiring ways. Let this season be a canvas for self-exploration and enrichment.
A heartfelt appreciation goes out to our dedicated educators and staff members. Their unwavering commitment to the education and welfare of our students is truly commendable. Throughout the year, they have demonstrated resilience, creativity, and an unwavering dedication to providing an inclusive and enriching learning experience. Thank you for your tireless efforts and passion.
While we bid farewell to this academic year, preparations for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year are already underway. Our team is diligently working to enhance our facilities, refine our curriculum, and provide enriching professional development opportunities for our educators. We are committed to ensuring that our educational programs continue to thrive and evolve
Wishing you all a safe, rejuvenating, and memorable summer break We eagerly anticipate welcoming our students back in the fall, as we embark on a new chapter filled with growth, learning, and boundless opportunities.

SUMMER READING
Research shows that frequent independent reading has a direct correlation to reading achievement and improves vocabulary and writing skills. We also encourage parents to read with their child, as reading aloud is another powerful way to enhance vocabulary, model fluent and expressive reading, and build listening comprehension. The more students read, the better readers they become - and it is just plain fun too!

SUMMER MATH
Dear Families of Students
Entering Grades 1 through 8,
Learning and growing doesn’t stop over the summer! You can help your student accelerate their learning with Freckle. Because the activities are fun and adapt to your student’s level, they will love to continue their math practice on Freckle during the summer months.
Freckle is accessible through your child’s Plymouth Clever account 24/7, wherever an Internet connection is available. Since Freckle is continuously challenging students, using Freckle throughout the summer can boost learning and prepare students for the next school year.
Please know, this summer work is OPTIONAL and will NOT be graded upon return in the fall. However, AWARDS will be given to our top Freckle mathematicians when we return to school after the summer break!

Should you need any support from us with regard to accessing Freckle Math, please email Kelly Bitinas, K-12 Mathematics Coordinator at kbitinas@plymouth.k12.ma.us.
Finally, in order to move our system over to the 24-25 school year, the last day students will be able to access their current Plymouth Freckle account will be August 9, 2024. After that date, their Aspen/Clever access will be restricted until school begins at the end of August.
We wish you a wonderful summer full of learning and joyful experiences!
Sincerely,

Plimoth Patuxet Museums has reimagined and redesigned "You Are the Historian: Investigating the First Thanksgiving," its popular interactive game that has entertained school-aged children and families for almost two decades! The game investigates the interactions between the Wampanoag people of Patuxet and colonists of Plymouth, known as the Pilgrims, through archaeological artifacts from the museum’s collections, primary source documents, and oral histories.
"You Are The Historian" transports players to Patuxet and immerses them in a story of cultural change and persistence over 12,000 years. Warning! Magical time travel, an anonymous tipster, mysterious riddles, historic artifacts and mind-bending activities are just ahead.
