Last Call for Chapter Meeting April 20th , 2010 at Ericsson - Rijen This is the Last Call for our Chapter Meeting which will be organized by Ericsson to be held on April 20, 2010 at the location of Ericsson in Rijen. The theme of this meeting will be Project Support and Tooling. This event will be registered or documented and prepared for streaming on the PMI internet and Ericsson intranet. PMI Educational Foundation is Recruiting Community Liaisons The PMI Educational Foundation (PMIEF), a nonprofit charitable organization, is recruiting community liaisons; the purpose of the liaison position is to create a channel of communication between PMI communities and the PMIEF. Through the liaison position, PMIEF will continually provide communities with new information on how they can help make a difference in the community through project management with programs such as: • Scholarships for students, teachers and non-profits; • Teaching youth project management as a life skill; • Careers in project management; • Helping nonprofit organizations and NGOs use project management to more effectively and efficiently accomplish their mission. PMIEF also wants to hear your ideas and looks forward to hearing more about how we can help you make a difference. Exposure Draft Period Approaches for The Practice Standard for Estimating PMI is scheduled to release a new practice standard in the fourth quarter of 2010. The exposure draft for this standard will be made available for comments on PMI’s website at http://www.pmi.org on 29 March 2010. The comment period will remain open until 5:00 p.m. EST on 13 May 2010. This is the time to voice any concerns, share perspective or lend professional insight. We encourage all members, volunteers and the greater project management community to take this opportunity to get involved. Participation in the exposure draft process is open to the public.
