Iordye expressed this worry in a press statement made available to Peoples’ Daily on Tuesday.

Mr. Iordye who is a one time Head of Service said at a joint meeting with the outgoing administration’s team on the 27th April, 2023, that the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Prof. Anthony Ijohor informed his committee of the inability to get the reports ready but that he will arrange for MDAs to brief them in one week’s time on his return from his trip abroad.

“This lackadaisical attention to a serious matter like this calls for concern, as this information is necessary to enable our smooth takeoff on 29th May, 2023.

“We therefore, urgently demand the release of the following from the outgoing administration: Comprehensive handover notes covering the period of the outgoing administration,2015 – 2023 for all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), including the debt profile and the state of finances of the State.”

Kaduna police Command gets new Police Commissioner

Anew Commissioner of Police, Musa Yusuf Garba, has assumed office in Kaduna State following the approval by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman.

Mohammed Jalige, the Police Public. Relations Officer in a statement yesterday said the new Commissioner of Police, being the 41st Commissioner to serve in the state, took over the mantle of leadership from the immediate past Commissioner of Police, CP Yekini Adio Ayoku.

He said the Commissioner was an alumnus of Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto and was enlisted in the Nigeria Police as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police on the 18th May 1992.

Zamfara Gov-elect charges 2023 transition C’tee on patriotism

Zamfara State Governorelect, Dr. Dauda Lawal has charged the 2023 transition committee to ensure patriotism and diligence in discharging their assigned responsibilities aimed at rescuing the state from derailment under the outgoing administration.

Dr. Lawal made the declaration on Tuesday during inauguration ceremony of the 60-member transition committee led by the former Inspector General of Police, IGP MD Abubakar which was held at Garba Nadama hall Jibrin Yakubu Secretariat.

The Governor-elect further charged them of ensure total checks on commitments by the outgoing government in both financial and awarded contracts with a view to helping in designing a competent map as planned by the incoming administration for the delivery of expected democratic dividends in the state.

He urged them to apply their most needed hard earned experiences to investigate fully into activities carried by all the ministries under the outgoing government as such will facilitate his administration acquire easy point for the start immediately after swearing in ceremony come 29th of this month.
