Kaduna govt reinstates 1,266 disengaged primary school teachers

The Kaduna State Government has approved the reinstatement of 1,266 primary school teachers earlier disengaged after the competency test in June 2022.

Public Relations Officer State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Hauwa Mohammed stated this in a statement made available to the media in Kaduna yesterday.

The statement stated that, “having examined and verified their components, the Government approved the reinstatement of 392 teachers who wrote and passed the test, 515 Central Administration staff who were officially exempted from the test and 298 teachers who were verified to be sick at the time of the test and had valid medical excuse, backed by Doctor’s certificate.

“ Others reinstated are teachers who were reported by their respective Education Secretaries, to have been victims of kidnapping or involved in accidents.“

AMuslim Women Islamic Association called Sisters of Jannah Bauchi State Chapter has expressed worry over the high rate of divorce among Muslim couples in Northern Nigeria.

Sisters of Jannah expressed their worry at the 2nd Ramadan Lecture organised by the Association at Bauchi Cebtral

Mosque.

The lecture is themed; “Issue of Divorce in Muslims homes / rights of neighbors.

The lectures were delivered by Islamic Scholars, Mallam Muhammad Suhailu Lawal and

Malama Khadija Ahmed. In their separate submissions, the scholars lamented that most parents usually ignore the instructions of the Holy Quran when giving their children out in marriage.

”The implication is that if we don’t follow the Islamic regulation by offering prayers to Allah for guidance and following the Islamic teaching, there will be domestic problems”.
