Marafa calls for supporters’ unity for the APC’s victory

Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa has called all APC supporters under his camp to for the sake of the party’s victory in the forthcoming gubernatorial election, ensure formidable unity and avoid antiparty activities.

Marafa, who made the plea today (Monday) in a townhall meeting in Gusau the Zamfara state capital with the leaders of the APC from the 147 wards across the state, said whether or not offended in one way or another for political reasons, should forgive whatever had happened or currently happening or suspected to happen.

He further recalled that, the APC was divided into four most popular camps led by former Governors of the state including Ahmed Sani Yarima, Mahmud Aliyu Shinkafi, Abdulaziz Yari and the Senator Marafa himself before the present Governor Bello Matawalle facilitated moves for reconciliation.

According to him, all the four formidable camps have unanimously promised under the watch of both the Presidency and the party national leaders that they would work together for the victory of the APC in all of the elections in the state.

“Our great APC has already won presidential and majority of the national assemblies’ elections in Zamfara state and of course in many states across the country, therefore, we should not lose a gubernatorial seat to the any of the opposition parties in the state”, Marafa has stressed.

The development may not be unconnected with the alleged secret moves by an alarming number of groups in the Zamfara chapter of the APC who, had the idea of voting for candidates across political parties in the state throughout the 2023 general elections.
