Bishop preaches hope at Easter

Bishop Timothy Yahaya of Anglican communion, Kaduna Diocese has Easter is the beginning of eternal hope for mankind and therefore, called on Christians and all Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness against one another as exemplified by Jesus Christ.

He asserted this in his Easter massages delivered at the Saint Michaels Cathedral in Kaduna Kaduna yesterday.

According to him resurrection celebration is a time believers experienced the power of the love of God that transforms grief to joy, darkness to light, death to life.

“For each one of us faces our own cross, our own darkness, our own despair, we know there is hope. With the resurrection of Christ, we, too, are given the hope that transforms that darkness into light and that despair into hope. Even the greatest fear - the fear of death - is overcome through the love of God and the sacrifice of Christ”

The Bishop also admonished Nigerians that there is hope of better days in the Country, saying even though the country is going through turbulent the resurrection power of Christ brings hope of Security, qualitative and affordable education, Good Railway transportation and in interrupted power supply.

Bishop Yahaya advised the new elected leaders to stick to their campaigns promised because Nigerians voted for them as leaders stressing that the people are wiser and will demand for their right as at when due.

He therefore advised them urged to adopt a positive approach to governance by putting the interest of the masses above themselves.
