Apolitical pressure group, Arewa New Agenda (ANA) has said the leader of Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo cannot does not and cannot speak for the North regrading the 2023 Presidential ambition of the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Briefing journàlists yesterday in Abuja, the Convener/Leader Arewa New Agenda, Senator Ahmad Abubakar MoAllahyidi, said the north is renowned for keeping promises, adding that the region will not disappoint Tinubu, whom he described as having played key role in helping the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari to defeat ex President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.

Senator MoAllahyidi said it was in keeping to this promise that the APC Governors in the Northern region unanimously agreed to cede power to the South, adding that the statement credited to Pa Adebanjo that the North will not vote for Tinubu is more of a meddlesome interloper in the affairs of the North.

Why Obi was not at NEDG debate - Head Obi-Datti Campaign Council, Onifade

The head of Media for ObiDatti Campaign Council, Diran Onifade has explained that the Party’s Presidential candidate, Peter Obi could not attend the debate programme organised by the Nigerian Elections Debate Group following the advice of the technical crew of the aircraft he was travelling in.

“After an engagement in Akure, Ondo State, he meant to head for Abuja for the debate, but was advised otherwise due to technical issues with the aircraft which made the Pilot decide to head for Lagos instead.

“It must be noted that in anticipation of Mr. Obi’s arrival senior members of the campaign and the party had gathered at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, venue of the programme.

“They included the Director General of the Campaign, Balogun Akin Osuntokun, Campaign Manager, Ambassador Oseloka Obaze as well as Labour Party functionaries including Mrs. Esther Nenadi Usman and Alhaji Audi Mohammed.

Mr. Obi arrived safely in Lagos while the programme was still on”, the party said.
