Kaduna State, WHO announced their commitment towards healthier future for citizens
The Kaduna State Government and the World Health Organization (WHO) have announced their commitment to continuing their partnership towards a healthier future for citizens.

Amina Baloni acknowledged the organization’s commitment to achieving “Health for All” through transformative public health agendas, including universal health coverage in Nigeria.
The commissioner Represented by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Adamu Yusuf said with WHO-supported initiatives, Kaduna State has seen significant progress in reducing vaccine-preventable diseases through improved routine immunization coverage and accelerated COVID-19 vaccination.
She explained that WHO has also played a crucial role in providing technical support for disease surveillance and outbreak response activities in the state.
The WHO representative for the state Mr Omeh Gregory highlighted some of the organization’s most significant public health achievements which include the eradication of smallpox in 1980 and the neareradication of poliovirus.
He said With WHO’s continued support, Kaduna State looks forward to building a healthier future for all its citizens.
