“The plaintiff in the course of his service year and after six months of NYSC, applied and was admitted approval to defer the NYSC in other to enable him complete the Bar final exam.
“Thereafter, the plaintiff was re mobilized to finish the NYSC programme, which he did complete”.
Mbah averred that upon completion of the NYSC service, he was issued the certificate of National Service No. A.808297 dated 6th January 2003.

Buhari jas shared the joy of celebrations as 27-yearold gourmet chef, Hilda Bassey Effiong, aka Hilda Baci, makes history by breaking the world record of longest hours of cooking, finding her way into the Guinness Book of Records, and placing Nigeria on the global spotlight.
Buhari, in a statement by his Special Adviser on
Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina lauded the young culinary expert for turning her talent and passion into a career, with a rippling effect on the economy as she runs a restaurant in Lagos, and trains other talents on entrepreneurship, and now leads the world in resilience, perseverance, and consistency in cooking.
The President noted the antecedents of the restaurateur, who dazzled at the Jollof Faceoff Competition, 2021, preparing mouth-watering dishes that won the choice prize, and settled an age-long rivalry with Ghana on which African country should own the trademark for cooking better jollof- rice, the statement said.
President Buhari, it added, believed Hilda Baci’s drive and ambition have brought more interest and insight into the uniqueness of Nigerian food, as another cultural icon, with huge tourism benefits, hoping more young people will follow in her footsteps.
The President thanked the sponsors of Hilda Baci Cooka-thon, government officials, including Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, celebrities from the bubbling music and movie industry, and fans of the chef for all the support that has brought glory to the country.
President Buhari wished Hilda Baci more grace for a prosperous career, according to the statement.

National Population Commission (NPC), Federal Commissioner, Muhammad Dattijo Usman has reassured that the next census will be credible, reliable and acceptable.
He gave the assurance in a press conference held at IBB Pen House, Minna, saying that the questionnaire does not contain religion and ethnicity but basically on demographic socio economic characteristics.
Dattijo Usman noted that the National Population Commission primary purpose for its establishment is to undertake the enumeration of the population of Nigeria periodically through census.
The federal commissioner reiterated that the commission is fully ready for the census exercise in the country which is going to be completely digital and transformative.
He emphasized that it has carried out 33 activities.
Usman hinted that the postponement was not due to the unpreparedness of the commission, adding that they are only waiting for directive to commence the census exercise any moment.

There was a commotion out side court premises, as Mr C.O Adie, counsel to an Abuja based legal practitioner, Henry Onyinyechi Nwosu, who was arraigned before a magistrate court sitting in Wuse zone 2, over land paper forgery, engaged the wife of the nominal complainant, Mrs Oluwatayo Adeyemi in a physical fight.
The woman was battered in the face with injuries, was moved to Wuse General Hospital for treatment, after the matter was reported at the Zone 3 Divisional Police Station.

Ortom has done well in education, Benue SUBEB boss

Benue State Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board,SUBEB, Joseph Utse has said over 3000 teachers have been engaged in the twilight of the Ortom administration.
He disclosed this in an interview with our correspondent at the weekend.
Utse maintained that the administration has in no small measure given priority to basic education.
He said 1,855 schools were constructed, 2,191 classrooms renovated, 264 bore holes dug, 80,384 furniture purchased for schools,616 teachers tables and chairs provided.
Utse added that 115 motorcycles were acquired, 158 computers and accessories, 14 laptops,14 printers, 20 and 10 tablets for e-monitoring and e-quality respectively provided for teachers in the State.
The SUBEB boss further intimated that the sum of 21.5 billion naira was received from UBEC with counterpart funding from the State Governemt to train head teachers, teachers and education managers from the period 2015 to 2021.
He however, advised the incoming governmentt to improve on what the outgoing government has done by employing more teachers and giving priority to their welfare.
