•Inaugurates committee on education
Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs to the AMAC Chairman, Kingsley Madaki, disclosed that members of the committee include:
Henry Gambo SakomaChairman; Dr. Aminu Sheriff Ibrahim (HOD ESD)- Secretary; Mr. Joshua Tukura; Iyaji David Esq; Franca Ada Akpan; and Hon. Obiora Arinze (SC EDS).

Performing the inauguration yesterday, Maikalangu urged members of the committee to do everything within their powers to come up with viable options to bring LEA Primary Schools to enviable level.
He also advised the committee to visit all the primary schools in the Council with a view to review and evaluate their educational performance and ascertain the healthy situation of their facilities.
The AMAC chairman further charged the committee members to ensure that each primary school in the council provide her pupils with standard curriculum that is generally accepted and oversee the financial performance of the schools and make sure they are optimally used to address issues in the school.
He however, the Council Chairman encouraged them to investigate all illegal primary schools and checkmate the sharp practices of the staff of LEA primary schools.
He said they should fish out ghost workers and those that are receiving salary after retirement. The chairman gave the committee 30 days to conclude and advise the council on the instructional materials needed in the LEA Primary Schools.
In his response, the Committee Chairman, Henry Gambo Sakoma, pledged to carry out their duties diligently without fear or favour.
Sakoma also assured the chairman that they will deliver the assignment given to them within the timeframe.
