NGO flagsoff skills acquisition programe in Gwagwalada

The Chief of trades in charge of a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) known as Idimla Global Plumbing Training Centre in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Idris Mohammed has flagged-off the 2023 master trainers for the skills acquisition programme in Gwagwalada.

In his speech during the flag-off ceremony, Alhaji Idris Mohammed, said he began the youth programme in Gwagwalada on the 18th of February, 2016.
He disclosed that he had so far trained a total number of 77 apprentices under the Idima Global Plumbing Training Centre in Gwagwalada.
His words: “ I am priviledged and honoured to welcome you all to this august gathering today for the skills acquisition programme 2023 flag-off of our master trainers that will train and take our youth out of unemployment and poverty.
“indeed, skills acquisition and generation of employment have remained a constant factor in Nigerian government policy. The National Youth employment and skills acquisition programme was initiated by the government to promote self employment and self-reliance in the generation of gainful self employment”.
He, further, revealed that Aguma of Gwagwalada, Alhaji Muhammadu Magaji had crowned him as the Sarkin Sana’ar Hannu (Chief of trades) in Gwagwalada based on his perpetually training of the youths on the skills acquisition programme.
Sarkin Sana’ar Hannu in an interview with newsmen appealed to the administration of Gwagwalada Area Council to allocate a plot of land for him in order to erect a structure for the centre.
Also speaking, the president of Dpat Foundation in the FCT, Elder Mrs. Patience Ardey, called on the government at all levels to empower the less privileged ones in the society.
