3 guber candidates dump parties to join ADP in Kano

Three governorship candidates in Kano state have dropped their ambitions and joined forces with the ADP governorship candidate, Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada, according to statement by Abbas Yushau Yusuf, pokesperson for the ADP Gubernatorial Campaign Council in the state.

The candidates, who shelved their ambition and endorsed Sharada for the March 11 governorship elections are Furera Ahmad of the Booth Party

(BP), Ashatu Mahmud of the National Reformation Party (NRM), and Ibrahim Muhammad of the All People’s Party (APP).

Also, the Deputy Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Abdussalam Gwarmai, has withdrawn his ambition and joined Sha’aban in his effort to rescue Kano.

Receiving the candidates, according to the statement, Sharada, the Kano ADP governorship candidate and a member of the House of Representatives for the Municipal Federal Constituency, Honourable welcomed the three candidates in their effort to join forces with him to rescue Kano.

He told them that the moment he is sworn in as governor of Kano State, he is going to hit the ground running by going about civil service work and reform through reward and punishment.

“Honorable Sha’aban Sharada added that next week he is going to inaugurate a digital platform for empowerment where 50 thousand people are going to be empowered in Kano.

“The ADP Governorship candidate also challenged Ganduje’s administration to explain to the people of Kano what his government did with the bailout funds of President Muhammad Buhari’s administration,” the statement reads in parts.

In their separate remarks, Mrs Mahmud of NRP and Mrs Ahmad of the Booth Party said they decided to forego their ambitions and support Sharada because he has programs for women and orphans with his good intentions.
