Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Niger State office has taken delivering of sensitive electoral materials from Central Bank of Nigeria, Minna Branch for onward delivery to 25 local councils of the state.
It has commenced the distribution of the materials to local government electoral officers at the premises of CBN, Minna branch.
Resident Electoral Commissioner, Ahmed Yushau Garki noted that the sensitive materials were handed over to INEC by CBN accordingly,and would be distributed to 4,950 registration centres across the state.
He lauded the management of Central Bank of Nigeria CBN,Minna branch,for the support to the commission adding that the commission had earlier distributed the non-sensitive materials across the state without stress.
The REC also commended the stakeholders, representatives of various political parties as well as security agencies for their unretired support to the commission since the election process began.
The representatives of various political parties were available to monitor the distribution, however praised the INEC for timely distribution and enjoined it to maintain the tempo in all the electoral process in the state,before,during and after the 2023 general elections.
