Sudan conflict: CNG urges NASS to compel FG to evacuate Nigerians

The Coalition of Northern Group (CNG) has called on National Assembly to compel the federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Security Adviser and Nigeria’s representative in the AU to ensure urgent and safe evacuation of Nigerian Citizens in Sudan conflict.

CNG Spokesperson, AbdulAzeez Suleiman in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja yesterday, said Nigerians who are mainly northerners trapped between Khartoum, Ethiopia and Egypt.

The group also warned that the Federal government of Nigeria government will be held responsible for any harm to any Nigerian citizen in the conflict in Sudan for not showing real commitment to their evacuation as other responsible governments
