Al-Habibiyyah to feed 2,000 muslims daily during Ramadan

Islamic Society has said it has commenced daily free Ramadan feeding for 2,000 persons to maximize the rewards of the holy month.

The chief imam of the society, Fuad Adeyemi, disclosed this at its 19 National Unity Ramadan Lecture, yesterday in Abuja.

He also charged Muslims to form their lives based on the teaching of the Holy Quran and Ramadan, adding that this month should serve as a great opportunity.

The Imam said, “Over the years, the first day of Ramadan usually recorded a relatively low turnout and we peaked by the 4th or 5th day of

Ramadan, we were marveled this year, we prepared 1,000 meals and we were surprised that the first-day turnout was over 2000, meaning this is a challenge,but we have a firm belief in Allah, that with you, the challenge will be surmountable.”

Speaking on this year’s theme, Imam explained that, “the lessons of Ramadan will give us a guide on how we can reform our life If you also look at what becomes a word revolution in the name of Islam, it started in Ramadan and Ramadan has a link with the Quran, so it means we should look at Ramadan this time around with the current challenges we are facing in the area of leadership, economy, and society.”
