Action Alliance urges Tinubu to be fair administration approaches

As Bola Ahmed Tinubu takes over the saddle of leadership in the country, Action Alliance (AA) party has appealed to him to be fair in his administration approaches.

The National Chairman of the party, Dr Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje, in a statement made available to the media in Kaduna yesterday stated that the party has confidence and trust in Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s competence as regards resolving issues confronting the nation currently, saying that the party suggests aspects of the nationhood that require his immediate technocratic intervention.

Dr. Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje advised him to look into reorganizing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in such a way that only lawyers shall be appointed as its chairman.

According to the party chairman, the measure would reduce incidences of disregard to rules and judgements of courts with impunity as being witnessed in the regime of the current chairman.

The party admonished the new President to think of policies that would re-strengthen the unity fabric of Nigeria, noting that the country Nigeria has never been this resenting across fault lines as is currently presenting.

The party Chairman reenacted that the diversity of Nigeria should be for strength, working for its development and not for enmity.

He assured the new President of the party’s support and cooperation and urged Tinubu to be open and all inclusive minded in his bid to build his cabinet for superlative result.

The party further stressed that there was nothing better than choosing professionals to head ministries and parastatals according to their areas of discipline by competence.

He prayed for the new President divine wisdom, the chairman preached forgiveness as a very strong tool for speedy recovery of the nationhood brotherliness.

Crime control: AIG lauds Kaduna Police Command

The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Zone 14, Ahmad Abdurrahaman has commended the Kaduna State Police Command for recent feats achieved in crime control in the state.

He asserted this when he paid a familiarisation and working visit to the Kaduna State Police Command, yesterday.

AIG Abdurrahaman however, charged the CP to intensify intelligence gathering ahead of the May 29 handing over ceremony in the state

CP M.Y. Garba told his visitor that the command is appreciative of the support being received from the AIG Zone 14.

The CP used the opportunity to warn trouble makers that the command is ready to deal decisively with anyone who attempt to disrupt the relative peace currently enjoyed by the state.

INVITATION TO TENDER/EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR YEAR 2023 CAPITAL PROJECT

1.0 INTRODUCTION

The Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare in compliance with the requirements of the Public Procurement Act, 2007 and other extant government regulations, intends to undertake the procurement of Goods, works and Services for the implementation of YEAR 2023 CAPITAL PROJECTS. Competent and experienced Contractors, Suppliers and Services Providers with track record of prompt delivery of similar projects are hereby invited to submit their bids and Expression of Interest for the following projects below:

2.0 SCOPE OF PROJECTS: CATEGORY A: GOODS

Ownership/Lease Agreement; m. Lot 1: Only Companies included in the National Automotive Design and Development Council’s approved list of local manufacturers of vehicles or their authorised representatives should bid for the Vehicles; n. Lot 2: Letter of Authorisation from the Original Equipment Manufacturers listed in the Approved Policy for Procurement of Health and Medical Equipment for Tertiary Hospitals in Nigeria; o. Lot 4: Evidence of Firm’s current registration with the relevant regulatory professional body(ies) such as COREN, QSRBN, ARCON, CORBON etc.; p. For Joint Venture/Partnership, Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) should be provided (CAC, Tax Clearance Certificate, Pension Clearance Certificate, ITF Compliance Certificate, NSITF Clearance Certificate, IRR & Sworn Affidavit are compulsory for each JV partner)

CATEGORY B: WORKS q. All documents for submission must be transmitted with a Covering/Forwarding letter under the Company/ Firm’s Letter Head Paper bearing amongst others, the Registration Number (RC) as issued by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Contact Address, Telephone Number (preferably GSM No.), and e-mail address. The Letterhead Paper must bear the Names and Nationalities of the Directors of the Company at the bottom of the page, duly signed by the authorised officer of the firm.

4.0 COLLECTION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS (GOODS AND WORKS)

CATEGORY C: CONSULTANCY

It informed that during the visit, he was warmly received by the Commissioner of Police Kaduna State Command, CP M.Y. Garba, accompanied by other senior police officers in the command.
