The newly governor of Jigawa state, Malam Umar Namadi has promised to strengthen the partnership between Jigawa government and donor partners for the development of the state.

Governor Namadi stated this while delivering his speech shortly after taken oath of office as new governor of the state held at Aminu Kano triangle
Dutse the state capital.
He explained that, considering the level of development brought to Jigawa state by both Foreign CommonWealth Development Office (FCDO) and European Union (EU) in saving lives of children, water hygiene and improvement on social protection, the present adminstration will retain the relationship for betterment of Jigawa.
“As part of our agenda to improve the well-being of our people, the present administration noted the roles played by the partners particularly FCDO and EU in improving the lives of our people, we will do all our best to maintain that relationship”, he said.
The governor then assured to do all his best to transform the state by implementing his twelve point agenda that include
Agricultural transformation, Human development, education, health, youths empowerment, improvement of public service delivery, sustainable environment among others.
Meanwhile the governor was sworn-in together with his deputy Engineer Aminu Usman Gumel by the chief judge of the state, Justice Umar Sadiq Maigari, and witnessed by thousands of Jigawa citizens.
