Ogun NNPP: Bring back those who left –Kwankwaso charges caretaker committee
Recall that some members of the party had left the party due to the expulsion of Sunday Olaposi Oginni, the former chairman of the party in the state.
The party subsequently inaugurated a caretaker committee led by Prince Ibrahim Adekunle to direct the affairs of the party.

Kwankwaso and Galadima have, however, advised the caretaker committee to ensure that they bring those who have left the party back into the fold without wasting more time. They made these declarations on Tuesday when the caretaker committee of the party and the gubernatorial candidate of the NNPP in Ogun State, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, paid them a courtesy visit after the inauguration of the Kano State governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Kwankwaso, in his speech, said that the caretaker committee should return home to spread out the party’s tentacles from the wards to local governments and the state as a whole.
“I implored you to go into action by not looking back in your quest to bring back those that have left the party as well as ensuring to bring in new members into the party in Ogun State,” Kwankwaso stated.
Galadima encouraged the caretaker committee to continue to wax stronger in the state and not allow political challenges to affect them.

The immediate past Governor of Kano, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has claimed he is not looking for any appointment from President Bola Tinubu.
Ganduje stated this in an interview published by BBC Hausa on Tuesday.
He, however, admitted he would accept any appointment if offered.
“I am not looking for any appointment. But, if I am offered any, I would take it.
“I wish him (Tinubu) well and will continue to pray to Allah to help him.
“People voted for him because of the belief that he will emulate the things he did in Lagos State while he was governor and because he is a true democrat.”
Ganduje also said he did not attend Abba Yusuf’s inauguration ceremony on Monday, because “he wanted to prevent their supporters from clashing during the event.”

ACoalition of Civil Society Organisation under the aegis of Movement for Good Governance on Tuesday called on well meaningful Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to deliver and transform the country for the better.
The Leader of the Group, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar gave the charge during a press briefing held in Abuja, barely 24 hours after the inauguration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, tasked the outgoing Speaker, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and other principals officers to support the Speakership hopeful, Hon. Aliyu Betara whom he described as “strong and versatile to help Mr. President succeed.”
Alhaji Abubakar said that the Group’s resolution was based on the assessment of all the Aspirants, amping whom he argued stands out as “the only man that has the vitality and mutual understand among the members to move things for the President.
He said: “Tinubu led administration deserve a strong support from the Legislative Arm to deliver and in achieving that someone like Betara should be whole support for the job.
“We call on all other aspirants to tow the line of peace, unity by supporting a great man, Betara and by so doing they would be supporting and working in the interest of Nigerians and for the new President to succeed.
The group equally called on all Nigerians to give their full support for the new President’s renewed hope agenda and pray for the success of the new government.

The Chairman of the House Committee on Navy and major contender for the Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Going further, he saluted Vice President Kashim Shettima, who he said led Borno State at the darkest and most difficult of times, and did not for once desert his people or renege on his responsibilities.
According to him, “These are men who have demonstrated their commitment to our great country, and as President and Vice-President, our hope in a prosperous and peaceful Nigeria that works for all citizens irrespective of class, ethnicity and religion has indeed been renewed.
