“I urge the electoral Umpire to cancel the elections conducted without using BVAS machines in all the affected polling units in the interest of peace, stability and good conscience with a view to accord the electorate their unanimous choice.
“In Hong/Gombi Federal Constituency, reports at my disposal have revealed that elections were conducted manually without using BVAS machines as assured by the INEC in many towns and villages in both Hong and Gombi local government areas which gave room for massive irregularities and malpractices.
“There were reported cases of irregularities and over voting in many polling units of different wards of the constituency including ; Mayolobe,Uba,,Bansh ika,Hoshorism,Hildi and Garaha among others.
“Also in Gombi local government area, there were cases of over voting in Gombi-South wards,Boga dingai,North and Ga’ada wards.
“With the above constraints and in the spirit of fairness and justice as provided by the Electoral Act,I humbly call on the INEC to review the exercise by strictly using the election captured with the BVAS machines to declare the winner as recorded.
“While expressing my appreciation to the teeming and loyal supporters of our great party, the Social Democratic Party(SDP) in Hong and Gombi federal constituency,Adamawa state and Nigeria as a whole over their unflinching support in the just concluded 25th Febuary 2023 presidential and National Assembly elections”.Yarima explained.
