Hajji: Jigawa deposits N2.5b as NAHCON allocates 1,125 seats

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria ( NAHCON) has allocated 1,125 hajj seats to Jigawa state for the conduct of 2023 Hajj exercise.

Making this disclosure, the executive secretary of Jigawa State Pilgrims And Welfare

Board, Alhaji Umar Lobbo also revealed that the sum of N2.5 billion already deposited to NAHCON where N1.5 billion deposited through Jaiz bank while N1 million deposited through the board.

Alhaji Lobbo spoke while giving update on 2023 Hajj exercise in the state.

He explained that, out of total seats allocated to the state, eighty percent of the seats were disbursed to local government for interested intendants across the state.

According to him, the board has gone far on preparations as Jigawa team travel to Saudi Arabia and booked accomodations close to Holy mosques for Jigawa pilgrims.

The executive secretary reiterated that, AZMAN Airlines is assigned by NAHCON to airlift Jigawa pilgrims for this years Hajj exercise.

He then urged intendants to complete their payment before the deadline, and commended governor Badaru for supporting the board at any time.
