Clergyman cautions religious leaders over ‘emotional’ prophecies

Aclergyman, Apostle (Dr.) Paul Ameh of Paula Ministries has cautioned religious leaders in Nigeria not to make prophecies out of emotion, so as not to throw innocent people into pain.

This is just as he also advised politicians to keep to their vision and promises to the people so as to leave legacies, while speaking with Journalists in Makurdi on Friday.

Apostle Ameh lamented over the high insecurity and poverty amongst Nigerians and urged politicians to work hard to curb it.

He particularly decried the high rate of bloodshed in Benue, noting that there is dire need for spiritual revival through fervent prayers and sincere repentance amongst the people.

Apostle Ameh also cautioned the Church to avoid division but to work in unity for the growth of society.

The Benue born, Lagos based minister of God who is in the State for a revival program expressed optimism that Nigeria and Benue will witness a new season in the new Government.

“I congratulate Rev. Fr. Alia emerged as Governor of the State and I believe that as a man of God, he will govern to bring salvage and happiness to the lives of the people.

“Our state is sick and that is why it is projecting blood. Spiritual leaders should come together and pray, and whatever has gone wrong that made God withdraw His hand from the land, I believe that once we call for prayer, God will heal the land.

“There should be unity in the religious sector of the State. There should be religious cooperation and harmony.

“For the prophecies before the election, most religious persons prophesied emotionally. Most of them were looking at the physical outlook to determine the outcome. We have to manage politics and religion very well so that we do not throw innocent people into painful situations. Men of God need to be united because God does not work in disunity.

“I believe that we are going to see a new season in Nigeria’, he stated confidently.
