IPLOCA Regional Meetings

IPLOCA regularly hosts regional meetings which are an opportunity to meet association colleagues in a smaller forum than at the convention, to invite clients to discuss their proposed projects and to engage potential members of the association in addressing topics of particular relevance to their region.

Europe Eastern

The first regional meeting of the year takes place in Baku, Azerbaijan on the afternoon of Wednesday, 18 March at the Four Seasons Hotel. This event is being organised by IPLOCA in collaboration with SOCAR and Tekfen and will focus on Health, Safety and the Environment and projects being developed by IPLOCA’s Corresponding Members in the region. Regional directors are encouraged to organise such meetings every couple of years in their region, to further engage members around the world at a local level and to invite non-member companies, to become familiar with the initiatives being moved forward by IPLOCA that give value in return to its own members. All the meetings are free of charge, include presentations from IPLOCA and invited guest speakers, and may also incorporate a local visit, an informal dinner or buffet lunch.

Future Meetings

Other meetings are being considered in the coming months and further details will be available on the IPLOCA website:

- East & Far East – McConnell Dowell is expecting to hold a meeting in Shanghai, China during the second week of August;

- Latin America – it is hoped that a meeting will take place in early September;

- Middle East & Africa – Bahrain or Saudi Arabia are being explored as possible locations;

- Europe Central – a meeting in the Netherlands is being considered for this region;

- France – a meeting in the Bordeaux area is being planned in Spring 2021 with the support of SPAC.
