Princess Yachts shine bright in Plymouth

Following the cancellation of boot Düsseldorf, it was an inspired decision for Princess Yachts to host their first very own Princess Exclusive event in their brand home, Plymouth, from 22-30 January 2022. Set against the majestic backdrop of the imposing former victualling yard, Royal William Yard, Princess celebrated the global launch of the all-new Princess X80 and the all-new Princess V50.

The invitation-only nine-day event also showcased the awardwinning X95, the Y72, S62, V55, V40, and F55 to customers, special guests, brand partners, local community organisations and press, as well as taking the opportunity to celebrate the talent of the 3,000-strong workforce.

The U-shaped marina lent itself as the perfect venue for this private on-water boat show, which was simply breathtaking by day and elevated to another dimension at dusk when the eight yachts were lit – absolutely stunning.

Will Green, Chief Commercial Officer, Princess Yachts, said “The proximity of Royal William Yard to our factories around Plymouth also allowed our employees and the local community to see a boat show line-up on their doorstep. We are extremely grateful to the team at Royal William Yard Marina and at Urban Splash for helping us bring this incredible event to life, as well as to the resident berth holders for allowing us to borrow their unique location.”

Eco installations

As part of its sustainability journey, Princess is committed to bringing environmental initiatives to the forefront. The message of sustainability and marine conservation was captured beautifully in the hospitality area with installations from partners Ecoworks Marine, Oceanographic, and Salcombe Distilling Co. Princess also exhibited sea life sculptures to display the all-new eco-friendly fabrics that are planned for the Princess range in the near future.
