Zephanie releases Filipino song for Disney movie ‘Wish’

It was reported that Zephanie already collaborated with the entertainment giant last year as she, Janella Salvador, and Stell of SB19 performed classic songs from hit Disney movies for the launching of the streaming service Disney+.
In 2019, she also performed a medley of some of her favorite Disney shows.
Disney has tapped Filipino singers in the past to perform their own rendition of songs from some of their movies.
Salvador performed her own version of “How Far I’ll Go” from “Moana” in 2016 and Moira dela Torre covered “Reflection” for the live action remake of “Mulan” in 2020.
Meanwhile, GMA Integrated News reported that Zephanie sounds like a true princess in her latest single.

The artist first looked back on the launch of Disney+ in the Philippines in 2022. She sang “When You Wish Upon a Star” from the movie “Pinocchio.”
“It was such a magical and surreal moment for me,” Zephanie said.
Now that she has another project with Disney, Zephanie said, “I believe that great things truly come at the right time and season of our lives. And I just can’t put into words how happy and grateful I feel for being given the opportunity to sing ‘Aking Hiling’ — the localized version of ‘This Wish’ from the soundtrack of Disney’s ‘Wish.’”

Young Filipino singer Zephanie has been tapped by Disney to perform “Aking Hiling,” the Filipino rendition of the song “This Wish” from the latest Disney animation film “Wish.”
“Aking Hiling” was released in all music platforms on Nov. 17.
Zephanie Dimaranan of Binan City, Laguna, who was the first winner of reality singing competition “Idol Philippines,” expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, according to CNN Philip- pines.
