Burlington Edison Co-Presidents #1 Alyssa Kusluch

Hello, My name is Alyssa Kusluch. I’m a senior at Burlington-Edison High School. I have been an active member of key club since my freshman year. My sophomore year I shadowed our Ltg Mackenna during the summer, Junior year I did a lot of planning of events and helping run meetings. I was a co-social media director that year and this year I am co-president for my club.

For this upcoming year I want to work on the commitment of members in our club and time management during our meetings. Our kiwanis members are very active and we appreciate them so much but as a club we are going to try to attend more kiwanis meetings. Last march we attended the 69th annual DCON and it was one of the best learning experiences. Personally I am excited to go to a few different workshops at DCON 2019. Also the energy at dcon is so positive and the people there are all super nice. My clubs goal is to bring a few more students than we did last year so we can show people how great keyclub really is. 2018-2019 key club at BEHS is going to be a blast and I'm really excited.

Burlington Edison  Co-President #2 Linnea Murdock

12th This will be my fourth year in key club. My plan for this year are to really focus on the members more so than what has been done in the last year as well as communication with members and advisers.

Last year I was on the board as public relations. I'm really excited to see more seminars and for people in our club to be able to go this year. For Kiwanis this year I really want to stress going to meetings to see what is going on with them and what they are planning.

Marysville Getchuel President Cristina Velasco

Christina is a sophomore and has been a member of Key Club for two years! She is very excited to be president.

"With my time in office, my goal is to try new things to see what else our club could be doing. This could mean new fundraisers, new projects, new advertising techniques, or the way we run our meetings. I would also like to focus on getting the meaning of Key Club more known to our school (rather than everyone believing we make keys). And lastly, I would like to introduce a bigger role on fundraising for charities or towards our district project."

While the current relationship with the Marysville Key Club is rocky, Christina and the rest of the Marysville Getchuel Key Club Board are going encourage eaachother to attend Kiwanis meetings and events to further the relation ship between them.

Mount Vernon President Bin You

Bin is a Senior, who has been a member of Key Club since her Freshman year! She has never been a member of the board before but has been close with the previous president. She is going to accomplish a lot.!

What are your plans for your time in office? Fundraising and more consistent service events this year

What are you most excited for at the 2019 DCON? Meeting even more people and learning more about service as we bring new people to their first DCON. How do you plan to strengthen your relationship with your sponsoring Kiwanis? First after MVHS finds key club an advisor, I plan on communicating with our Kiwanis member since our advisor will be new so it’s a great opportunity for my officer team and myself to improve our relationship with Kiwanis.

Our District Project, The Thirst Project! I think that I have covered Our district project before, but to reinstate; Pacific Northwest Key Club has partnered with the Thirst Project to help supply water to people in Swaziland. A country in Africa that needs clean water. The PNW Key Club website has all the specific details, for the project, including goals and the progress made so far.
