1. VP Reports due 4. 2016-2017 Lieutenant Governor Election Rally 5. Secretary Reports due FEBRUARY 1ST: DCON REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Division 44, Congratulations everyone! With the Trick-OrTreat for UNICEF donations our Division well exceeded our $1,000 goal! However we still need to do our part to reach the District goal of $75,000! With DCON coming around, I want our Division to see a major increase in attendance, so we can show our Division 44 pride and all of us can bring back what we learn at DCON to our home, school, and community. In caring and service,

Stuart Sardo

What’s up 44! I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I was feverishly writing my speech for my Lt.G election, 2015 went by quick! I am very excited to see who my successor will be. On another note, DCON. It’s coming up very fast with registration due on February 1st, so if you intend on going, make sure you are fundraising and staying involved with your club. I hope you all have some good New Year’s resolutions, because I know I do; KEY-p doing my best to serve Division 44 for the last months of my term (). Have a happy New Year!

Update

Look at that adorable infant! It’s so cute in its little elephant onesie. Now imagine that infant suffering from painful convulsions and hypersensitivity to light and sound. Not a pretty picture. These are just some of the effects of the fatal disease MNT. Today, over 20 countries have children as cute as this one suffering, and dying. After 5 years, the Eliminate Project is coming to a close, and we are very close to eliminating MNT from the face of the earth. What we need to finish the fight is the combined efforts of every willing Key Clubber to help fundraise for the Eliminate Project. Get creative, ask your club officers what you can do, get involved. We are so close, it’s time to give it all we have.

MNT is a disease that affects newborn babies and their mothers, and is extremely painful, and even fatal.

What are the statistics? 11

A baby dies every 11 minutes from MNT

134

134 babies die every day from MNT $1.80 can save a mother and all her future children from MNT

23

23 countries remain at high risk for MNT

Lieutenant Governor Election

The Division 44 Election Rally went swimmingly! The new Lieutenant Governor for the 2016-2017 term is‌ Alyssa Libak, current president of Fort Vancouver HS! All the candidates conducted themselves very well, and I couldn’t be more proud! I have watched Alyssa grow from a timid secretary/treasurer into the strong and devoted president she is today, and I am confident that she will do exceedingly well as Division 44s Lt.G for the next year.

Meet your next Lieutenant Governor!

Dear key clubbers of division 44, My name is Alyssa Libak and I just have to start out by saying I am thrilled to be your next Lieutenant Governor! I am currently a sophomore at Fort Vancouver H.S. and enjoy snowboarding in my free time. Of course, my favorite part of the day was knowing I was able to visit our division and experience the passion you all carry in your hearts to help others. I hope to unite our schools into feeling as one, as well as improve our relations with other divisions and the Pacific Northwest as a whole! Having the chance to lead our division to greater success is an opportunity I will not waste, and I will spend my time doing whatever I can to make our division the best it can be. I am an only child so I look forward to expanding my family through the key club community as Lieutenant Governor. We have an exciting year ahead of us Key Clubbers!
