Greetings from the Lt. Governor GREETINGS! Hello Beastly Butterflies! With huge events coming up like our Portland Rally and July DCM who wouldn’t be excited! This summer you will be given the opportunity to rediscover your passion for Key Club during these various events and activities. Have an amazing summer Key Clubbers and wherever life takes you know that Division 44 will always be here in the heart of Vancouver. P.S. Wear sunscreen!

Monthly Goals Even when we have some Key Clubbers flying thousands of miles away for the summer, it is important that we all still make time in our busy schedules to attend DCM’s, service projects and fundraisers. What separates us from other clubs is that we’re everlasting and don’t wait months until school starts to begin helping others. As long as we continue to give back to our community and make a difference, our goal is complete. In Care and Service, Alyssa Libak

June DCM During the June DCM, Division 44 Key Clubbers set out to clean Burnt Bridge Creek and restore it to it’s natural glory. Volunteers picked up liter, removed graffiti, cleared pathways and removed other hazards from the area. If you want to be a part of the journey to bring fish back to the waters, remove trash completely from the area, plant luscious trees and more, contact your Lieutenant Governor to become a part of the permanent Adopt a Park team!

What’s up with the clubs? Evergreen- By Daloun Inthathirath (President) Hello fellow key clubbers! In the month of June, we sent some members to volunteer at the Foster Kids' BBQ and although it was an ugly and stormy summer day, being able to give back to the community made volunteering worthwhile! In July, we plan on working with the Share house by packaging food that will go towards kids. Kids are the future! In conclusion, we plan on having lots of (volunteering) fun in the sun! Camas- By Brittany Nugent (President) Hello Key Clubbers!

For the month of June we had quite a variety of exciting events! Such events include the academic awards night where volunteers set up, welcomed and handed out certificates, first Friday at downtown camas where we had a couple of volunteers run errands and help out at craft stations, the prune hill carnival with a TON of AWESOME carnival games, camtown youth festival (also with a ton of games) as well as a Kids flea market and craft stations, foster children's party, June DCM, and the summer movies at the library! I hope you all are having a great summer break, and get some ideas for new key club events!

Mountain View- By Karen Gong (President) Hi Key Clubbers! For the month of June, Mountain View will be helping out at the annual Fisher’s Landing Elementary Carnival on Saturday, January 11th. Key Clubbers have participated in the carnival for many years and will help run carnival games, hand out prizes, and set up and take down the booths. Mountain View Key Clubbers will also help out at the Foster’s Children’s Picnic on June 23rd. Members will help set up, serve food, run games, and more at the picnic. The month of June is very laid back for MVHS Key Club and will bring the year of service to a nice close! Fort Vancouver- By Hillary Cordova (Webmaster) Hey Key Clubbers! School is out but that doesn't mean key club is over! Fort Vancouver High School's Key club has taken action to get people involved this summer. Fundraisers have been put in motion that include teaming up with Krispy Creme to provide some fun summer treats. Another awesome fundraiser is Threads of hope. Beautiful bracelets made from the Philippine's will be sold and the profits will go towards low income families there and key club! The money raised will allow FVHS key club to participate in DCON. We plan to attend bigger Key club events like DCMS and other divisional activities!

Club Spotlight “This month, Camas features the summer movies as our spotlight event! The summer movies are a series of great events held from June to August at the community library, this is an especially great event for those who love to see movies! This is quite a simple yet also fun event where volunteers take count of attendees, manage and refill popcorn, help set up and take down the event and assist with clean up, as well as watch the movie displayed for the day during popcorn management! I give this opportunity 5 stars! By: Brittany Nugent President of Camas Key Club

16

Great job Camas for amazing activities and events year-round!

Member of the Month
