A LETTER FROM YOUR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR Entering a new year is also a time when a newly elected Lieutenant Governor is born again. It is a very joyous moment for not only divisions but also for the Pacific Northwest District Board. These “innies� as we call them on board are chosen by you guys, the members. At our election on January 9th, 2017 you all voted for our newly incoming Lieutenant Governor, the one and only Jinhee Kwak! Jinhee if you are reading this, I would like to take these next few words to once again congratulate you on winning the elections! There were many competitive opponents, and I know how nervous you probably were standing in front of a large group of people. But throughout it all you proved to everyone how passionate you are into expanding this Division and how this organization has inspired you to take on leadership such as this one that you are about to begin. I wish you the best throughout your term, and am looking forward to giving you advice and guidance throughout it all. And I would like to also thank the delegates, candidates and our area admin Patty Downey for making this election possible and successful. Members please take time to congratulate Jinhee and I hope you all enjoy my 10 OUT OF 12 winter edition of THE HOOT!

MEMBER OF THE MONTH Member of the month goes out to a certain individual who has been active in all club and divisional events. This person has shown a sense of motivation like no other and her name is Jillian Reyes from Skyview Key Club. Jillian has been a great member and a very helpful Divisional Assistant throughout my whole Lieutenant Governor term. She is someone who can be trusted with important information, and caring in situations where I would make mistakes that I didn’t even notice. I am so grateful to have had such a kind, loving, and funny person to help our Division improve and expand till the final days of me being Lieutenant Governor. So thank you Jillian, because without you my term may not have been as smooth and organized the way it actually has been.

A new school year means a new DCM points chart! This is how the point chart works! One individual member who attends a DCM is counted as 10 points, meaning if you had 5 members from your club attend the monthly DCM your club get 50 points! If your club by the end of my term gets the most DCM points, you guys will get a pizza party that will be provided by yours truly! ď Š So make sure your members ATTEND DCMS and you shall get PIZZA!
