Transportation Design - Zephyr
Background Under the influence of Global Warming, We believe that the sea level will raise in 2050. Then, people have to emigrate to ocean. Nowadays water vehicles cause water wave while moving and create pollution while their engine running. They will all be eliminated due to the factor of nature environment. Therefore, we design a new concept of water personal vehicle - Zephyr.
Concept To eliminate the burden which water vehicles cause, we thought of using the characteristic of surface tension which gerridae uses. Moving on water with almost zero friction and reducing the production of water wave and noise. If applying this characteristic on vehicle, the form of vehicle moving will be redefine and furthermore lower the use of energy.
Imitating the cilia of gerridae and structure of lotus leaf to create nano-holes and to achieve high hydrophobicity. Using the method of molecular polymerization to gather water form into large water mass and enhancing hydrogen bond and van der waals’ force to reach the need of surface tension. Then, Zephyr can easily stand on water.

Operation Zephyr has two operating mode - cruise mode and sport mode. By controlling the angle of grips to accelerate. When the baffle reach out and go deep into water, the resistance will cause Zephyr to slow down. Through shifting center of gravity to let vehicle’s body tilt and using the structure of support feet to press on water and cause dent. And Zephyr will turn.

Users go to security check directly. EZ Tour baggage helps users to check-in.

01-Setting Position of the Suitcase
Registered as an Member of EZ Tour Pay the annual fee and start EZ Tour service.
Input the ID Information Input the ID information to EZ Tour data base, and the staff will make sure that the information is legal and useful.
At TPE airport Check in Completed
Set the Route Input the travel route including the flight and hotel information, and then the suitcase will check-in automatically.
Deliver the Suitcase Deliver the suitcase to the logistics department of EZ Tour, the suitcase will be transported to the airport and complete the check-in procedure.
Departure Go to the airport without time pressure.
Trace Users can trace and check their suitcase by phone.

02-Logistics Receive the Suitcase The delivery man uses AR-glasses to check out the terminal that users have set. The AR-glasses are used to improve logistics efficiency.
Delivery The delivery man transports the suitcase to the designed place ( e.g., airports, hotels, relay stations).
Arrive When the suitcase is delivered to the airport or the hotel, the staff can do check-in procedure according to the information that inputted the suitcase. And when the suitcase is delivered to the relay station, the suitcase will be locked until users come and receive.
The AR-glasses display the terminal of the suitcase.

Power
03-Relay Station Relay Station The relay stations are located at airports, railway stations, hotels, etc. The relay station is a place for users to place their suitceses.
Lock The suitcases that be delivered to the relay stations will be locked, and the suitcases upload the users’ information to the electronic locks and charge.
Unlock After users finish their route, they come to the relay station and use their fingerprint to unlock.
