Signaling the new release While Creative Cloud delivers ongoing innovation, we need a way to signal major release updates. The Creative Cloud brand and "CC" versioning remain the same, i.e. Illustrator CC, Photoshop CC. But to distinguish between different releases of Creative Cloud, we are introducing a yearly modifier. For technical accuracy we will introduce a yearly technical release version. For June 2014: •• Keep Creative Cloud and "CC" versioning constant, i.e. Illustrator CC, Photoshop CC, etc. •• When referencing the latest release, use the yearly modifier, "the 2014 release." •• Note: it is not part of the brand, so should be used in a secondary, less prominent way only when needed to add clarity or context. (See examples on page 4) •• Unify product-specific technical versioning around the yearly release, i.e. Photoshop 14 to Photoshop 2014, 2014.1, 2015, 2015.1, etc.
3
Adobe Creative Cloud Guidelines: Adobe Internal | Adobe Confidential | 30 May 2014
Note: this example is for illustrative purposes only. This imagery will be updated for the June release.
Versioning for publishers and partners Partner materials, and general materials, should follow the same basic principles. The product branded versioning system remains "CC," but the modifier "2014 release" can be used to signal the point in time of the latest major release.. It should be used as a secondary, less prominent, modifier, not at the same level as the product brand.
CORRECT:
Photoshop Version CC: 2015 release (41) CC: 2014 release (76) CC (53) CS6 (34) CS5 (102) CS4 (46) CS3 (22)

Creative Cloud on web, desktop and mobile
Naming strategy Creative Cloud on different platforms—web, desktop, and mobile—are all branded Adobe Creative Cloud. High level message “Now you can access Creative Cloud on the web, on your desktop and on mobile” Reference examples Creative Cloud on the web: When you need to distinguish the web element employ a simple descriptive term like 'Profile' as we want to keep weight overall on Adobe ID. •• “Log in with your Adobe ID to access your Creative Cloud profile settings, favorite apps and notifications”. •• "After signing in, you'll see your Creative Cloud profile inside the nav on the left”. •• "After signing in with your Adobe ID, you'll see your profile” •• “Your profile goes with you across x, y, z if you are signed in with Adobe ID” Creative Cloud on the desktop: •• “Download your favorite applications, like Photoshop CC and automatically have access to Creative Cloud right on your desktop where you'll also be able to access, download, and update any of the applications.” •• “You are downloading Creative Cloud for your desktop.” Creative Cloud for mobile: •• “With Creative Cloud for iPad and iPhone you can browse and manage your files on the go.” •• “You are downloading Creative Cloud for your iPad.” 6

The membership plans For a complete list of membership plans, see https://creative.adobe.com/plans.
MEMBERSHIPS: PLANS:
Creative Cloud for individuals
Creative Cloud for teams
Creative Cloud for enterprise
Creative Cloud for education
• Complete plan
• Complete plan
• Complete plan
• Complete plan
• Single-app plan
• Single-app plan
• Single-app plan
• Single-app plan
• Custom plan (a sement-specific subset of apps for design, web or video)
• Student & Teacher Edition
• Photography plan
• Creative Cloud desktop apps (for government only)
Membership vs. plan Memberships: Memberships classify the type of person or group, for whom the plans are meant. There are four memberships.
Plans: Plans classify the product being offered to the potential member. There are multiple plans under each membership.
Lowercase or lead case? • Title or heading: OK to use lead case if that's the typical style: "Creative Cloud for Teams," "Individual Plans," "Plans for Teams" • Body copy: Always lowercase: plans for individuals [teams/ enterprise/education]
Lowercase or lead case? • The plan name is always lead case: Complete, Single-app, Photography • "plan" is always lowercase, unless used in a title or heading where lead case is the typical style. Does the word "plan" always need to be included in the name? No. If the context makes it clear that you're referencing plans, it's ok to drop it. Words other than "plan" should be avoided, such as promotion, program, bundle, etc.
8
Adobe Creative Cloud Guidelines: Adobe Internal | Adobe Confidential | 30 May 2014
Referring to the membership plans For a complete list of membership plans, see https://creative.adobe.com/plans.
When referring to memberships and plans: • Avoid locking the memberships directly to "Creative Cloud." Instead, use them as descriptors, e.g., "Creative Cloud for teams," not "Creative Cloud team." • Avoid listing out the membership and plan as one long string, e.g., "Adobe Creative Cloud for individuals complete monthly membership." Instead, consider the context. For example, if it's a Creative Cloud communication focused on individual membership, no need to reference it again. You might say, "The complete plan is available on a month-to-month or annual basis."
EXAMPLES (for illustrative purposes only; not final editorial copy): Free •• The Free plan gives you… •• Get started with Creative Cloud for free. •• DON’T USE: With the get started plan… [“get started” should be used as an action, not the name of the plan. Call it the free plan.] Single app •• Enjoy [Photoshop CC] for US$19.99 per month. •• Join Creative Cloud to get [Photoshop CC] for as low as US$19.99 per month. •• Get [Photoshop CC] as a Creative Cloud member for as low as US$19.99 per month. •• Get [Photoshop CC] for as low as US$19.99 per month as a Creative Cloud member. •• Get [Photoshop CC] when you join Creative Cloud for as low as US$19.99 per month. •• Get [Photoshop CC] as a single app when you join Creative Cloud for as low as US$19.99 per month. •• Get [Photoshop CC] with a Creative Cloud Single-app plan for as low as US$19.99 per month.
What gets localized?
Photography plan •• Choose the Creative Cloud Photography plan to get Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 together for US$XX.XX per month.
• "Adobe Creative Cloud" should always remain in English. • The membership and plan names may be localized.
Complete • Join Creative Cloud and get it all with the Complete plan for as low as US$29.99 per month. • Get the Creative Cloud Complete plan for as low as US$29.99 per month.
Is it "single app" or "single-app"?
Choosing a plan • Join Creative Cloud today. Choose from Free, Single-app, Photography, or Complete plans. • Determine which plan is best for you. Get started with a Free plan, choose just one app, or get it all with the Complete plan.
Note: when localizaling "Photography plan" ensure that "Photography" does not get translated to mean "photographer" as users may not identify as photographers.
• •
When used as a noun, there is NO hyphen, i.e. "...or choose a single app." When used as an adjective, there IS a hyphen, i.e. "the single-app plan."
Is it "app" or "application"? Both are fine. In general we default to “app,” but “application” can be used when/if it feels more appropriate. 9
Adobe Creative Cloud Guidelines: Adobe Internal | Adobe Confidential | 30 May 2014
Teams • Creative Cloud for teams is available for small workgroups or organizations within a larger corporation. • Be more productive with Creative Cloud for teams. A Complete plan gives you everything you need to get your job done. Just need [Photoshop CC]? The Single-app plan has your team covered. • Creative Cloud for teams is available as a Complete plan to give you every professional creative tool you need, or a Single-app plan to get one CC desktop app of your choice.
Terminology: membership, subscription, plan, & more While we have some preferred terminology, there is flexibility depending on the context.
Membership vs. subscription
Do I have to use any of these terms?
In marketing copy, the preferred term is “membership.” The idea of being a member in the Creative Cloud community is what we want to communicate. For example, we talk about your “Creative Cloud membership” or “joining Creating Cloud.” Note that “membership” is lowercase.
It’s okay to say “Creative Cloud” without another noun.
“Subscribe” and “subscription” should be used only minimally when required on Adobe.com for SEO purposes. Don’t use these terms in email communications. Membership vs. plan In marketing copy when we talk about the idea of joining Creative Cloud, “membership” is the preferred term. But in reference to the tactical buying options, the term “plan” can be used. For example, we ask people to “choose a plan” or “see all plans” during the purchase process.
Preferred: Your Creative Cloud membership includes Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, and more. Not preferred: Your Creative Cloud plan includes…
Using “paid membership” In marketing copy, the name of the membership plan should be used—for example, “the Complete plan includes,” not “your paid membership includes.” We should avoid using “paid” in marketing copy, unless the context requires that we distinguish it from free membership. Try to reserve the term for legal lines and footnotes, when needed. 10
Adobe Creative Cloud Guidelines: Adobe Internal | Adobe Confidential | 30 May 2014
For example, these are both fine: • Adobe Creative Cloud includes Adobe Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, and more. • Your Adobe Creative Cloud membership includes…

Logotypes Please note: There are two versions of the logotype: 1. Mandatory lockup with “Adobe Creative Cloud 2. Standard logotype 1. Use mandatory lockup with Adobe Creative Cloud To reinforce Creative Cloud as the way to get each product, all products/services included in Creative Cloud will get a logotype with the product/service name locked up with Adobe Creative Cloud (with the exception of Acrobat and Lightroom). This should be considered the mandatory logotype and be used as the primary lockup. For example:

Please note: This is a visual lockup to show the point products are part of Creative Cloud, it is NOT a name change. For example, the communication is Adobe Photoshop CC, part of Adobe Creative Cloud, NOT Adobe Creative Cloud Photoshop CC.
Mnemonics Used as a visual representation of the products (use in places where you might have used a boxshot or totem in the past).
Web, screen, PPT: Use the .png file, at the exact sizes posted. If necessary, scale down the 512px version, never below 48px. It has a drop shadow, but is available without it for PPT or other layouts where the shadow will not reproduce well. Print: Use the .ai file labeled CMYK. Novelty items: Use the .ai file labeled PMS, only for novelty items when production requires flat color.

When scaling the mnemonics in Illustrator, make sure that the “Scale strokes & effects” option is checked. Do not change the color or letter configuration or create your own mnemonic to represent a new program or identity. Work with the brand and XD teams. Please note: When using the Creative Cloud mnemonic, attribute "the Creative Cloud logo" in the legal attribution line.
