Continue the Conversation How do your friends, family and colleagues think about their own purchase power? Explore the ways in which you and others can leverage your purchase power to support what matters most to you. Here are some discussion questions to get started: Do you consider how a product is made or a company’s social responsibility when deciding where to shop? Why or why not? Think about the businesses you frequently shop from. Do these businesses tend to be large, global companies or small, local businesses? Why? What issues, causes or values matter most to you when deciding what to buy and where to shop? How are these values reflected in what you choose to purchase? Have you ever boycotted a company? If so, do you consider the boycott successful? Why or why not? Are there any recent purchases you’ve made to replace an item you already owned?
