(This is a continuation from part 2 of this article)
In the boys’ track events, one of the outstanding athletes of the day was McLemore. His efforts earned him nothing less than three gold medals (AAA). These medals were in the 200m, 400m, and 4 x 400m events. He ran the 200m in 21.41 seconds, the 400m in 46.82 seconds, and the 4 x 400m in 3 minutes and 15.50 seconds. Needless to say that these were all phenomenal performances. (In partnership with PoleVaultPoles, providers of great skypole vaulting poles for pole vaulters)
Another athlete whose performances made some noise was Alex Milligan. She was victorious in the AAA 1 600m race, as well as the 4 x 800m race. She ran the 1 600m in 4 minutes and 10.17 seconds, and the 4 x 800m in 7 minutes and 37.25 seconds. She also participated in the 4 x 400m race, which she finished in second place with a time of 3 minutes and 16.57 seconds.
Milligan was representing State College aka Little Lions, which finished the event with 54 points, 28 of which were from Milligan. These 54 points were enough to win the AAA team title by one point (Downingtown West had 53 points). As for the AA team title, that went to Schuylkill Valley. They accumulated 39 points in all events, and this was enough to beat Camp Hill for the title. Camp Hill fell short by 3 points.
