Knitting Sample Book

By: Polly Baumgartner

A few samples of different stitches. I am a fast learner and also a sewer, so I can easily follow just about any pattern

Pink Lacey Scarf

This 18in wide and currently 25in long scarf is a work in progress. It has scallopped edges and uses a pattern from a book I purchased. The yarn is hand spun and hand dyed yard that I purchased at a specialty store.

Floral Sections

This scarf is another current work in progress and features basic knit sections seperated by crochet flowers. This yarn is a soft and fluffy acrylic and polyester “super bulky blend.

Fur Hood

This project was my take on the popular spirit hoods. I used a herringbone stitch, rabbit fur and created my own pattern for the hood.

Knit Tie

This is a project I made as a Fathers Day present. I used again the herrigbone stitch, clearly my favorite stitch, and a thin wool yarn. And yes my father has actually worn it to work once or twice.

Grey Amazonite and Moonstone Scarf This scarf was a gift to my sister. I used a knit pattern I found online and created this scarf in the round on circular needles. I then beaded bezels for the stones, attaching them to leather first and then hand stitching them to the scarf.

Thank You
