A Note from the Performing Arts Department Tonight marks our third music concert since the pandemic began in 2020. And while we are still not performing live, each virtual presentation brings us closer to that reality. Songs performed by our choral ensembles and wind instruments for our winter concert were compilations of individual, prerecorded performances. For this concert, we have combined elements of individual, prerecorded material with ensemble performance to create a presentation that more closely resembles our pre-COVID concerts. It fills me with hope to see these performers together, on the same “screen,” and excited for a future in which our concerts will again be live community events. I continue to be proud of the work my colleagues and our students have produced in these challenging times, and I recognize, now more than ever, how important the arts and specifically collaborative ensemble work are for our students and our community. Daniel Doughty Performing Arts Department Chair

Concert Choir and Advanced Concert Choir The audio for all of the selections performed by Concert Choir and Advanced Concert Choir were prerecorded, both individually and as a group with 12-foot distancing. Students then lip-synced along with their audio recording so they could be 6 feet apart, while maintaining current health and safety guidelines. Masks were always worn.
