ST. MARY’S COLLEGE OF CALIFORNIA ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE CENTER Moraga, CA
The Athletic Performance Center consists of an expansion to the rear of McKeon Pavilion to accommodate the new Saint Mary’s College Athletic Department Offices and Team Training Areas. The lower level of the expansion will add a team weight room and equipment storage, and the upper level a team training area, offices for the Athletic Department and additional spectator seating to McKeon Pavilion for events. There will be improvements to McKeon Pavilion, a landscaped entry, and pedestrian walkways within the site area. Due to the sloped site for the Athletic Performance Center, there is access from grade to both the ground floor and second floor of the new building. The main entrance is from the south at the second level of the building through landscaped walkways and an entrance stair. The massing of the Athletic Performance Center appears as a one story building with materials and details that are compatible with the unique character of the Saint Mary’s Campus. The massing of the east and west elevations appears as a two story building with vertical windows that provide natural light to the weight room and stairs. A new seating area for McKeon Pavilion at the mezzanine level expands the spectator seating capacity of McKeon and completes the seating bowl for an enhanced fan experience.

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS TRAINING FACILITY Oakland, CA
Charles F. Jennings Architects designed the award-winning training facility for the Golden State Warriors in 1998, and was selected to create an upgrades program for the facility in 2004. The space has been reconfigured to to provide additional facilities for the team, including an expanded strength and fitness area, a new team locker room, new massage therapy rooms, and a new team lounge, complete with catering kitchen, plasma televisions, game consoles, and a pool table. The updated finish palette includes mahogany and granite casework, new lighting, and new carpeting. The new team locker room includes state-of-the art audiovisual technology for game review and analysis.
