ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN AND INTERIOR WORK PORTFOLIO

Page 1

As a designer you design for the present, with an awareness of the past, for a future which is essentially unknown and most important your design must seduce, shape and should evoke an emotional response. “A room should start a conversation before people actually start exchanging words as an Interior is the natural projection of the souls living there.

ARCHITECTURE STARTS WHEN you carefully put TWO BRICKS TOGETHER. The DOOR HANDLE is the HANDSHAKE of the Building.

2017 - 2019 International Master of Interior Architectural Design (IMIAD) Cept University, INDIA

June 2019 - June 2020 New Delhi, INDIA

2018 Exchange Semester HFT Stuttgart, GERMANY IMIAD Workshop SUPSI Lugano, SWITZERLAND Material Workshop Domaine de Boisbuchet, FRANCE

As a kid I used to wonder why my friend’s houses are different than mine. What makes spaces feel different ? Later I realise It’s us “The User” that makes all the difference. That one curious thought drove me to this incredible journey of Interior Architecture and Design. It’s interesting to explore ways to engage the user, the way they move through the spaces. I firmly believe in the symbiotic nature between built environment and human behaviour and use this pedagogy as a tool to design for a better world.

2010 - 2015 Bachelor in Architecture (B.ARCH) MET Faculty of Architecture, INDIA

Studio HBA

Sept 2015 - June 2017 New Delhi, INDIA

As an aspiring Interior Architect, I am a qualified professional with 3 years of work experience. After finishing my bachelors in architecture I have realized my passion for Interior Design. Later I got the opportunity to work with Studio HBA, INDIA. I was involved with a number of magnificient projects such as High-end Residential, Luxury Hotels & Resorts, Marketing Suits, Show Apartments etc. After 2 years while working, I got selected for International Masters in Interior Architecture and design (IMIAD) at CEPT University, INDIA. During this course , I got selected for an international exchange semester at HFT Stuttgart, Germany. I was extremely privilaged to be part of two amazing workshops - IMIAD Workshop (2 weeks) at SUPSI Lugano, Switzerland and a 3 days material workshop at Domaine de Boisbuchet, France. Studying and living abroad was a unique opportunity to learn about a new culture as well as teaching others about our own. As learning is an integral part of who we are. SEPT 2015 - JUNE 2017

Design is intelligence made visible, & when combined with well informed & eclectic aesthetics, it’s in the hidden spaces in between, that the magic happens. Coupled with that, apply experience knowledge, within expertise & a simple methodology that results in exceptional spaces, beautifully realised. - Studio HBA/ Hirsch Bedner Associates “Everybody has their dream job when in graduate school. TIMELESS ELEGANCE

Timeless Elegance with Victorian Style Direction. Every element from the narrative to the most delicate details contributes to a whole in the interiors, echoing imperial british influences. Movement is choreographed in an intuitive way inviting guests to go through an experience of the historical elements that defines what Shimla is today. GUEST BEDROOM 1 ( Blue Room ) The Hotel architecture and interior depicts a creative, free spirited woman with impeccable taste. The room had a distinctly victorian feel, with scattered locally sourced decorative elements. The furniture smelt freshly polished and the chairs had been re-upholstered with those colourful silky fabric purchased from the local market. The Blue room is a perfect balance between Victorian elegance and exquisite local craft. Victorian lighting, chandelier and lamps were elegant and stylish. The purpose is to give a warm atmosphere and bring out to the vibrant colors on the walls. GUEST BEDROOM 2 ( White Room ) As compared to the blue room white room is much into mixing modern simplicity with victorian elegance and luxury. Some may call this look eclectic, but we prefer to call this mixture, Modern Victorian. Hardwood flooring, in medium or dark color.Beautiful pattern on the cement tiles, leading to the hallway where delicate Victorian Classic skirting and cornices running along the pastel coloured walls. This style is sophisticated and luxurious but at the same time brings a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Two words can describe this style, beauty and abundance.

Dream-like, yet elemental, Goa preside over a lush green paradise. The warm and humid climate blurs the distinction between indoors and the outdoors. Shaped in response to the fecund tropical conditions and long years of colonial rule, Goan architecture is enriched by the European experience, yet deeply rooted in local culture.A distinctive way of life, a colourful festivals and folklore, the gods and goddesses, the flavour and fragrance of Goa, the art and craft, dance and music, unique architecture, and overall a different cadence and rhythm of life.

Rooted in the muted, earthy colours of the land, Udaipur delicately balances the neutral with bounty- myriad hues speckle the calm fabric of the city, rich textures bring to life an inherent simplicity that is reminiscent of the people who inhabit it.Ushering the royalty of the days past into the present, complex geometry transforms into screens and traditional motifs are now interpreted into simple modern patterns. Layering over the architecture there are special elements derived from the lakes and the resident birds. The city takes centre stage here and we celebrate it.
