Moto e3 Power vs Moto G4 Play


The Lenovo owned Moto devices are going up against each other in the affordable smartphones segment. Moto e3 power is being sold on Flipkart at an exclusive price of Rs 7,999. Whereas, Moto G4 Play is priced at Rs 8,999, which is slightly costlier than Motor e3 Power and is available on Amazon.


In terms of sale, The Moto G4 Play is not offering any discount on MRP, but the Amazon India is granting a cashback of Rs. 1000 as an Amazon gift card, which can be further used for the purchase of any item.


Both the Moto e3 Power and Moto G4 Play follows the similar design language inspired by the Moto G4 series. Altogether, the smartphones are supported by 4G+VoLTE, making them eligible for a Reliance Jio 4G SIM card.



Display & Design The Moto e3 power is sporting a 5.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels at a PPI of 294 pixels per inch. The Moto G4 Play flaunts a 5-inch HD display having a resolution of 720X1280 pixels.


Camera In terms of optics, Moto E3 Power packs an 8-megapixel back camera with LED flash that also allows the 720p HD video recording. A 5-megapixel front camera with beautification mode is also given by the company for shooting selfies.


Comparatively, the G4 Play is featured with an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flashlight. Apart from this, a host of tempting features is also given for the rear camera, which includes burst mode, tap anywhere to capture, auto HDR, panorama, drag to focus and exposure, and recording aids of 30fps full HD videos.


Battery The Moto e3 Power comes powered by a 3500mAh nonremovable battery. on the other hand, Moto G4 play features a 2800 mAh battery pack. In terms of charging, both the smartphones use the similar 10W charger under the box, which gives a rapid charging facility to charge up your phone to stand up to five hours within 15 minutes of charging.


Performance It is powered by a 64-bit 1GHz MediaTek MT6735P quadcore SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt internal storage, that can be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot expansion.


The Moto G4 Play powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC for the smooth graphical and gaming actions. The smartphone packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage which can still be further expanded to staggering 128GB via microSD.


Final Verdict Both smartphones are pretty same, but E3 Power is priced at 7,999 and G4 Play is priced at 8,999. G4 Play apparently gets a smaller battery capacity, 2800mAh as compared to E3 Power with giant 3500mAh. The E3 Power would be a solid choice for heavy usage.
