Arrived. Home, in my own domain, where what counts is what I want: relax and recharge for the new day. Arrived at “I am worth it” – that little bit of daily holiday. I look forward to getting fit, looking good and feeling great. In my own spa, in my garden. I would never have thought that my spa would change my life so much. Every morning: diving into fresh water... Millions of air bubbles regenerate my body cells, stimulate my circulation and put a sparkle in my eyes. After exercise: my body needs some adjustment. It does not matter whether I made a wrong move, whether I am tense or if I just overdid it - my spa is my private massage therapist. It has the right jet for every muscle and gently restores my balance. After work: reducing stress – switching off – focusing on something else. My spa is already waiting for me and welcomes me with glittering water, cosy warmth and a sparkling oxygen bath. And within just a couple of minutes, I feel fit again. And at night the two of us enjoy the intimacy of our spa together. It’s a good thing it can’t speak.

Sanus per Aquam – Health through water Spa is the abbreviation for Sanus per Aquam: health through water. Already in ancient times, our ancestors knew about the healing power of water, the therapeutic effect of heat and the wonders of massages. They knew that these elements have an especially medicinal effect on the body if used together. Today, we know that the unique combination of water - warmth whirl systems is essential in a whirlpool. Water: The buoyancy of the water causes the body to float in the whirlpool, the body tissue starts to relax and expand, the joints are relieved, and it becomes easier to move. Warmth: Warmth stimulates the circulation. Blood flows more easily through the dilated vessels. Only a combination of warmth and water can ensure that body parts with poor circulation can also be reached. And circulation means transportation of vital oxygen, nutrients and healing elements into the body cells. Whirl systems: Hardened muscles and tissue parts can now be specifically relaxed by massage jets. Also here blood can now circulate better and supply important nutrients and oxygen. Additionally, through this massage activity, a “pump effect” origi-nates which improves circulation in the deeper tissues and inner organs. Through the air bubbles – or oxygen-bath, the body receives oxygen from outside, which is absorbed by the blood and transported to the body cells. Therefore a 15-minute long oxygenbath can more than double the oxygen content of the skin!

Health through water

A Riviera Spa is ergonomically designed to take hydrotherapeutic factors into account. The most important principles are: Freedom of movement: The body must float; tissue should be able to relax. Hardened muscle parts must be reached by a jet and brought into the right position. The distance between body and jet must be adjustable, so the intensity of a water jet can be accurately adjusted. Also moving from one place to the other must be done in a â&#x20AC;&#x153;floatingâ&#x20AC;? state. Deep seat shells are seldom helpful and restrict freedom. The right jet at the right spot: Soft voluminous jets massage the skin and front muscle groups. Big and powerful jets for strong back muscles. Thumb-size jets for shoulder, neck and back muscles that a massage therapist can only reach with his fingers. The number of jets alone does not say anything about their efficacy. The air jet system: Oxygen supply is particularly important when blood circulation and transportation of nutrients are good. The soft air massage has a deeply penetrating effect, and ideally supplements the massage jets. Something you should not miss for anything in the world. In Riviera Spas, the mechanism of the water, warmth, and whirl systems and the position of the seating areas in the spa are perfectly coordinated for optimal results. A specially designed 20-minute program of 8 fine-tuned whirl stages in a RivieraSpas positively affects the entire body and is designed to fight todayâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s top 25 health problems.

Quality & Ergonomy

Riviera Portable Spas are fully equipped and easy to install. Choose a spot, hook up the electricity, then fill the spa with water. That’s all. The Spa Management System takes control of all pool functions. Silent 24-hour-filtration. Basic disinfection through regular ozonator operation. Rinsing intervals for pumps and blowers. The water temperature is automatically regulated as well. „Standard-Mode“ for permanent operation, „Standby-Mode“ for times when you are away. And if your pool would like to let you know something, it sends you a message on the control display on the pool edge. This way, your pool needs a minimum of maintenance and attention. The Spa Manager operates all whirl functions. The panel is positioned on the edge of the pool. Therefore you can easily operate it while you sit in the water. The material combination of sanitary acrylic and fibreglass polyester is extremely weatherresistant, durable and easy to maintain. You can clean your Riviera Spa easily and even polish it after years of use, so that it looks brandnew again. The inside of the pool, jets and pipes are all insulated. A hard top cover is supplied as standard. This way, the pool is ideally prepared for outdoor operation – in summer and in winter. Indoor use is another choice: with an overall height of 80 cm, most Riviera Spas fit through a normal door and have an overall height that fits well inside. It’s no problem to get in and out of the spa in a room with normal ceiling height. And if you cannot make up your mind where you want your spa, just try it out. In summer on the terrace, under shadowy trees or in the sun. In winter under clear starry skies, in hot water in the fresh air, while snowflakes fall down on your skin. Or inside, in the cosy atmosphere of your sunroom. The Riviera Spa can always be moved around.

Enter the whirlpool via the step on the side and first sit on the flat large inside step (also cool down or child’s seat). The water is still calm. The water comes around your hips and surrounds you with its cosy warmth. Stay there for 2 minutes, collect yourself, and let your body, spirit and soul come together. The warmth absorbed by your body improves circulation, the water buoyancy relieves the joints. Enjoy the anticipation of the whirling experience. The water temperature should be 36° C. High temperatures slow down circulation and promote sleep, lower temperatures stimulate. Please test carefully how your body reacts to different temperatures. You will be surprised to see what effect 1° C can have.

The TurboJet massage area is really where the fun starts. Both TurboJets are placed in „strategically important spots “ in the lower back and give the trunk muscles a strong massage on the side of the lumbar vertebrae, the sciatic nerve and the hip joint. This strong and direct massage kneads hardened muscles, loosens adhesions in the connective tissue and alleviates arthritis in the joints, mobilising deposits. Back muscles that go into spasm, stressed sciatic nerves and stiff hip joints are grateful recipients of this deap massage. This particular massage should not last longer than one minute. Also the abdominal organs, especially the intestines, are strongly shaken and stimulated. If you wish, you can let your feet and ankles be whirled by the microjet massage site opposite. A feeling of well-being rises from the bottom of your feet into the body.

Move over a bit in clockwise direction to the Soft Whirl Place. Let yourself be surrounded by the soft but voluminous massage of the multi-masterjet for your back and the 4 Multi-jets for your shoulder and neck for 3 minutes. The water now reaches above your shoulders. The mild massage stimulates circulation, promotes heat flow in the tissue, facilitates breathing, relaxes muscles and joints. Your stress level reduces to zero, your soul can let go and body tensions (headache and even sometimes migraine!) disappear. The abdominal and digestive or gans are also already “stimulated” by the jets spraying towards the front.

Back strengthening massage

Now your body deserves a middle-strong surface massage with the rotating SuperJet massage jets on the bed. Your back muscles are fully captured by the “whirling breakers”. Topic here: our problem zone no. 1, the back, with vertebral column, intervertebral discs, the powerful muscle cords left and right of the vertebral column, the shoulder blade area and the shoulders itself. Strong and well irrigated muscles are the most important condition for back health. You can also exchange 6 SuperJet nozzle inserts (accessories) and direct them onto your painful and tense spots, even several jets on one single spot. The oppositely directed SuperJets massage the tissues in depth. Similar to the classic Shiatsu method in Chinese medicine. This intense back treatment does not leave out the feet. The Micro-jets at the foot end of the bed with their punctual powerful massage are directed at the sole reflex zones. This is an elegant and caring method to reach inner organs whose activities are stimulated and strengthened. Remain approx. 6 minutes on the bed.

While you are resting and relaxing on the bed, the large-scale air jet massage pampers you, especially. At the feet, legs and bottom. Through the strong turbulence, the fine bubbles spread everywhere in the water, attach themselves to the skin and supply the urgently needed oxygen from outside. The poorly irrigated muscles of office workers and frequent drivers among us will appreciate it. The larger bubbles generate a pulsating vibration that is transferred to the body unhindered and affects the deepest tissue layers. Circulation is massively increased (on the skin more than doubled!) - the heat transfer in the body is multiplied. If you use your Riviera Spa regularly, waste products, especially in old inflammation sites, are progressively detached and eliminated from the body. With a type of mild lymph drainage, cellulite spots become flatter. The fine bubbles even cause a mild peeling of the skin surface. Recommended time: 2 minutes.

After the rather soft massage on the bed, glide over to the MicroJet massage jets. They continue the work of the rotating Superjets of the bubble bed, but are more directional and lay more emphasis on the shoulder area. The same way that the massage therapist first massages all the muscles before dealing specifically with individual hardened muscles. If you sink a bit deeper into the water, the flood massage also includes the muscles of the neck and the back of the head, even the tendons that are painful in almost everyone’s body. You reach the shoulder joint itself by slowly moving to and from the jests and also turning your trunk from side to side. You should take this targeted massage for approximately 2 minutes. In America, this massage form is called Watsu®, a combination of “Water” and “Shiatsu”, the Japanese finger pressure massage. The Micro-jets of all Riviera Spas can be individually adjusted with respect to intensity, quantity of air and direction. They can even be individually closed with a light rotation.

Did you know that a 15-minute whirlpool bath can increase the oxygen content in the blood by approximately 10 % ? This is the most active way to “ventilate” your organs!

Floating

Once the whirl massage has stopped, give your body the chance to absorb the tanked up energy. With the help of a swimvest you can now float freely through the water. Your Riviera Spa has enough space to float - no narrow seats to restrict your movements. Close your eyes, enjoy this wonderful feeling, the peacefulness, lose yourself on this journey to yourself. With this chill-out, you are rewarding your body for what it does for you daily. Prescribed time is also 2 minutes, but if you can forget time and space, your relaxation will be all the deeper!

Cool down phase

Especially when the water is over 36°C, you should sit on the exit step for another 2 minutes before getting out. Half your body is still surrounded by water and can get used to both a straight position and the cooler outside temperature. Take in as much fresh air as possible – ideal in the case of outdoor whirlpools – fresh air now works wonders! Leave the whirlpool without haste and enjoy 15 minutes additional rest. Sleeping problems and depressive moods disappear – you can sleep soundly again. So you get fit for the next day!

Wellness & Health Water â&#x20AC;&#x201C; Warmth â&#x20AC;&#x201C; Whirl Systems Your Riviera Spa is equipped with a well thought out hydrotherapeutic concept, which treats the human body and its well-being as one integral concept. It leads you through 8 fine-tuned and well-balanced whirling phases with alternating stronger and weaker intensities. The 20-minute program was jointly developed by RivieraPool and Dr. med. W.G. Frenken according to medical and physiotherapeutic aspects and then implemented in RivieraSpa whirlpool massages.

According to experienced massage therapists, people tolerate an alternating mixture of strong and soft massages better. Periods of rests, which help process stimuli, also belong to an effective massage. One-piece cabinets

High-grade sanitary acrylic

Pool interior. High-grade sanitary acrylic â&#x20AC;&#x201C; kind to the skin and warm. Vacuum formation creates flowing forms that suit the shape of the body. There is no surface contact, which gives it the perfect shine of glass. Shiny, smooth and easy to clean. Acrylic can even be polished and is extremely UV-resistant. This explains why your pool can still look like brand-new after many years. Other manufacturers use soft embossed thermoplastics, which may be robust, but cannot be polished.

The cabinets are made of one piece of high-grade multilayer polyester laminate that is produced manually. The shell is firmly cast together with the cabinet through a hollow space sealing with rigid PU-foam, which provides maximum stability and, in combination with an insulating cover, a perfectly heat insulated unit. According to the design range, the cabinet is coated with high-grade 2-component-paint as used in the automobile industry. Therefore, all surfaces are as resistant as the paint on your car and can be maintained just as easily. Occasional flooding or permanent dampness from rain, a wet floor or severe frost do not cause a problem - polyester is a much less sensitive material than real wood, which makes the concept of the Riviera Spa simply more stable and ideal for permanent weather-proof outdoor use. Technical parts can be conveniently accessed - even without tools -through large inspection doors. There is enough room under the pool, which makes service of technical components easy and fast.

Sanitary acrylic is resistant to all weather conditions, many chemicals and cosmetics. Even rust or other forms of air pollution do not cause the surface to age even after years of use, as is the case with soft thermoplastics. Even the hot summer sun or icy winters are normal for the material. Scratches or damaged spots can easily be polished or reworked if necessary. The acrylic shell is equipped with adhesion primers and with multilayer polyester laminate, carefully finished by hand. This ensures maximal stability. Even if the pool is empty, deformation caused by sun radiation is excluded. Only fibreglass reinforced constructions can claim the same. Every Riviera Spa reflects 40 years of experience in polyester laminates. Other manufacturers often donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t use this time-consuming method of material construction â&#x20AC;&#x201C; they simply vacuum-form multilayered components with in one step only.

Low energy consumption saves costs

Intelligent heating system Riviera Spas have a 3000 watt heater made of Incoloy. This material is similar to titanium regarding its strength and durability, and is therefore extremely resistant to all kinds of chemical conditions. The whirlpool water cannot corrode the material, calcifications and deposits are almost excluded. Should a problem still occur, the heating element can be exchanged within 3 minutes. In whirlpools, the heating element is under maximum stress. This is why irregularities in water chemistry and technology do not show up immediately. This insight laed to the development of the Smart Sensor Technology, in which temperature and functional measurement is carried out directly in the heater with 2 sensors. Lack of water, air pockets or problems with pressure are communicated to and processed by the Spa Manager. Safety measures are initiated or messages shown on the display.

Everything possible was done to keep the operating costs of your Riviera Portable Spa to a minimum. Complete insulation of pool, jets and pipes. Standard hard top covers and an energy-saving filter system. This way your pool only needs 2.5 W in filtration mode. Taking a price of 12 euro cent per KW/h as a basis, the total cost is less than 1 euro per day*. *In winter operation, the air blower can significantly increase energy costs through the input of cold outside air.

We do not only test our suppliers, we also test each product and each procedure. All Riviera Spas

are subject to a 6-step production control. In the first testing stage, the acrylic rough shell and skirting are tested. Technical equipment is subject to spot checks. After assembly of the components, a first waterproofing and functional testing is carried out. After the cabinet has been installed, another strength and resistance test is carried out. The sound is transferred via transducers and a subwoofer on to the complete body of the whirlpool. A super clear sound even under water. There are no visible loudpseakers - the sound remains in the spa itself! A display, easily reachable, controls the system.

Disinfection

Filtration in Riviera Spas is done with the quiet „Silent Permanent Filter System“. With 99 watts, the pump is as economical as your kitchen light. The system regenerates your water 24 hours a day and during that time circulates the contents of your pool up to 120 times. This total water volume is led through a cartridge made of fabric with millions of micro fine pores that catch even the smallest debris and finest floating particles. The cartridge filter is easy to remove and easy to clean. Just put it in the washing machine or clean it outside and inside with a highpressure cleaner. A spare cartridge is supplied as standard. A basket for larger debris, like leaves, can quickly be removed and emptied. Because of this leaf prevention, the filter surface area of the cartridges is maintained and thecartridges don’t get sticky. This basket is also ideal for storage of disinfectants and additives. When using the jets, the waterflow through the cartridge is increased so the water flows back filtered into the pool. This ensures a permanent and complete filtration – for clear water, in which you feel good.

A time-controlled ozone generator takes care of basic disinfection. The generator consists of a plasma cell UV lamp which is connected to the filter circuit. Through ultra-violet radiation, natural and pure ozone gas from the ambient air is produced and mixed with the water stream. Ozone is a highly effective disinfectant that disintegrates after oxidation with pollutants on the water surface. This basic disinfection ensures hygienically clean and clear water during normal use of the pool. And if your pool is not used over a longer period of time, it still purifies the water for weeks. If you use the pool more frequently, you can insure sanitation by adding traditional disinfectants like oxygen, bromine or chlorine. The pH of the water should be manually tested in this case. With its “Smart Start Technology”, the supplier of this ozonator is a global leader. The highly efficient plasma cell in the inside the unit generates a constant supply of ozone with only 1/3 of the energy needed by traditional UV generators. With over 100,000 error-free starts, the technology of Balboa ozonators ensures unique reliability when turning on the pool and the ozone production. Thus your whirlpool water is treated with to a 3-step system: filtration, ozone production, additional disinfection. We recommend the addition of high-quality oxygen or bromine products (e.g. the Bayrol Whirlpool Set).

The Spa Manager turns the jets and the blower on at regular intervals to purge the pipes. This gives you the assurance of a clean pool. Depending on the frequency of use, the water must be changed every 2-3 months. Emptying the pool is very easy. On the outside of the cabinet is a connector for a garden hose. Both draining faucets are opened and the water flows out. The pool is just as easily filled with a garden hose.

Audio system

The whirlpool is equipped with a modern audio system with radio, CD/MP3 player, AUX-IN and an iPod connection.

Jet Systems

2 separate high-performance massage pumps* with a performance of 400 l per minute (!) each ensure a powerful underwater massage. Your body is “treated” with 40 buckets of water every 60 seconds – and this from each pump! So you can see what large amounts of water are processed by your Riviera Spa. You can regulate the quantity of air in the water jet, and thus the intensity of the massage, through the “Air Controls” on the edge of the pool. All nozzle inserts are easily exchangeable and partly individually adjustable. The escutcheons are made of high-grade chrome steel. The “Jet Control” switch can be conveniently reached from every seat. It allows regulation of the water volume and distribution of the intensity of the jet s at the individual massage areas. Only high-quality components of known manufacturers, for which spare parts and service are ensured, are used for jet and filter pumps of Riviera Spas. This ensures maximum safety for permanent operation. (* for Vitara and Viano only 1 pump)

Remote control

The Spa Manager with Duplex Digital Control is the ingenious control panel of your whirlpool. It regulates all functions of the pool easily and safely, and the interaction of all components. It supplies digital information, like water temperature and time of day, diagnostic messages and operating modes.

A floating infra-red remote control enables switching on individual jets, light, and blower or your hi-fi or TV equipment outside the pool. Stay relaxed and switch your DVD to the next chapter from the comfort of your whirlpool seat. The remote control is compatible with your Home Entertainment Components and easily adjustable via a code number. It is easy to operate thanks to the function transfer of your existing TV or Hi-fi remote control.

It switches on jets, blowers, lights and setting of filter times, temperatures, time and operating modes. The equipment is programmed in the factory. You just have to start. Even after a power outage, the Spa Manager saves its programs for 30 days. Hygiene functions: The control also automatically regulates filtration, water heating and operation of the ozonator for basic disinfection. At regular intervals, the Spa Manager initiates a system purge and thus prevents the formation of bacteria in the piping system. The equipment can be set in various operating modes according to your needs. Standard mode for permanent operation - temperature is permanently measured and regulated. Economy or saving mode for standby operation - for instance during vacation time, if the pool is not used for a long period and in case the temperature may drop. This way, Riviera Spas contribute to energy saving. Safety functions:They control the pool and ensure that it is not damaged by frost, excess temperature, failing water safety and much more. And if you forget to switch off a function, the automatic “Time Out” function does it for you. If your Spa Manager cannot solve a problem on its own, it lets you know and asks you for help. Control panel on the pool edge. The Duplex Digital Control Panel is equipped with a clearly recognisable Liquid Crystal Display and illuminated sensor fields for easy use. Child safety is ensured by means of a lock code. The housing and display plate are made of robust Lexan. The housing and the key fields are filled with gel and transmit the keyed-in commands to the sensors without the need for mechanics that are susceptible to failure. They are permanently “encased” in water-, weather and chemical-resistant material, able to withstand heat, humidity and cleaning agents. Riviera Spas are supplied with only one control panel for all functions. The well thought out menu structure makes additional control elements that would need to be operated from outside superfluous. The quality of the Spa Manager and its components is the best on the world market. We purchase these from the market leader that has been successfully producing electronic control systems for spas for over 20 years. They bear the stamps of the TÜV Product Service and of “Underwriters Laboratories”. Of course, everything is CE certified.

Colour light

Idyllic underwater lighting, maintenance-free and long-lasting LED colour lights (optional, not with Sienna XL, but to make up for this, 2 x 50 W halogen lights) with various lighting effect programs. Hard top cover

A hard top cover for effective heat insulation of the water surface is supplied as standard with all portable spas. Made of durable, weather resistant material it sits on the pool edge and protects the water from cooling and pollution. Even the wooden trim (Viano and Sienna) is covered and protected by the overhang of the cover. To fasten the cover, as well as to protect the pool against unauthorised use by children or pets, we use stable belts with click locks.

Whirlpools with overflow systems – first-class comfort.

Whirlpools with overflow channel offer a special optical effect and unique bathing comfort. The whirlpool harmoniously fits in the environment through high water levels. Flowing transitions and subtle edges create unique optics. The view from the pool is unobstructed. The high water level allows maximum water depth which gives a special quality to the massage. The large volume of water brings much freedom of movement. The water reaches above the shoulders, allowing you to float freely and to relax. Because of the high water level, shoulder and neck jets can be installed even higher than usual which improves their effect. Splash water and waves are swallowed by the overflow channel before getting into the bathroom. This is why whirpools with overflow systems can be equipped with even more intensive massage systems. Therefore, besides many air and water jets, Riviera Spas with overflow channel also have a spring jet at the bottom of the pool, which gives the feet and ankles a voluminous, soft water massage. When the blower is switched on, a bubbling volcano erupts, which powerfully kneads the legs. Whirlpools with overflow systems are basically builtin models, which means they are only dressed up with tile or wood after installation. The equipment is premounted on a pallet and located a separate technical room. In order to ensure even water levels, an overflow collector tank which holds 1,000 liters is installed with an automatic water level control. Here too, the Spa Manager takes over the management of the pool. You just have to use it.
