1. Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru (5 Aug 1947 -27 May 1964). Nehru ji was the first prime minister of India after Independence. He is the longest-serving prime minister of India. 5. Morarji Desai ( 24 March 1977 – 28 July 1979) Moraji Desai was the very famous prime minister of India After Indira Gandhi. Before becoming prime minister of India. He was an Independence Activist. Morarji was the 4th prime minister of India. He was born in February 1896. Before getting a post of the prime minister of India. 9. V.P Singh ( 2 Dec 1989 – 10 Nov 1990) V.P. Singh was the 7th Prime minister of India. His full name is Vishvnath Pratap Singh and was born in 1931 and died on 27 November 2007. He was an Indian politician along with a Government official. Singh Ji took the charge as prime minister of India on 2 December 1989. V.P. Singh had taken the oath after Rajiv Gandhi. 1996 to 21 April 1997. He was beforehand the fourteenth Chief Minister of Karnataka from 1994 to 1996.
