Meet our Summer intern

My name is Rose Schultz. I am a student at UWSP majoring in Communication and minoring in Spanish. I am excited to graduate in May 2021 and hope to get into a Graduate Program in the Fall. I have had great encounters with the Advisors in the Academic and Career Advising Center and because of that, I’d like to get into a Student Affairs Administration or Counseling program. I moved to Portage County in February, even though I spent most days here- February was my official move-in date! What I have enjoyed about it so far is that I am close to the major necessities, college, child-friendly activities while also being able to completely enjoy the beautiful trails. I sincerely enjoy taking a stroll and listening to the rustling of the leaves and the birds chirping. Life can be chaotic especially during these times but soaking up nature makes it all better. Another thing I like to enjoy during chaotic times is DESSERT--my favorite kind in Ben and Jerry’s Chunky Monkey Ice Cream. It’s banana-flavored ice cream with fudge chunks and walnuts. A must-try! I look forward to being a part of the Portage County Business Council this summer and am eager to serve the community as much as possible.
