We are constructed by our experiences in society and by extension cities. Human data informed design decision. A new paradigm of performance was informed by human data. User defined programs, which prefer the natural movement of people to define the program instead of forcing program on people. Research phase: Urban form and architecture dictate our subjective processes (albert pope). Finding potential landmark features in our site: Holland Plant, smoke stack, whistle, cooling tower, stadium, bobby dodd way. We also focus on some energy flows such as wind flow, solar flow, ecological flow. We finally identified three microsites. Design phase: We define three systems, which are engineered water system, ecological system, human social system. Our proposal wants to rethink this idea of a service space as not just infrastructure that holds service equipment, but as something that can actively engage human experiences. Key words: energy flow, three microsites, engineered water system, ecological system, human social system,

Perspective B A service space as not just infrastructure that holds service equipment, but something that can actively engage human experiences, through layering of social and ecological and mechanical programs which introduces students to process of water ( its flow behaviors and the state changes) as it is becoming increasingly politicized in the wider context.

Living Plenum 26

For design purpose, in order to create a live-work environment, Institution can totally support such a community. Since there is a situation that doctors and nurses have a long working hour and few places are offered for them to live. They don't have a good quality in living and working, burned-out rushing from home to hospital everyday. Our idea is to create one institution which can nor only offer their comfortable living condition, but also offer jobs for specialists. At the same time, we can attract more people to this community form five point station and Garnett station to achieve the purpose of revitalizing the street. What we have done is to decompose our programs based on the research of Emory. We uplift the ground floor to second floor, which is connecting the five point station. Therefore, we create three interfaces: city, interface, community to separate people flow. In order to create a good quality of living condition and offer an amazing place for public to hang out. Key words: Institution, revitalizing the street, three interfaces: city/ interface/ community

Urban culture+Architecture design.

The big picture (research part I): This initiative will have a major influence on the future vitality of the third ward in Texas. In will significantly improve the physical appearance of the neighborhood and boost its economic stability through six nodes including education, emancipation center, hospital, affordable housing, river hotel. Finally, we generate the concept "Green belt" which is to celebrate the existing framework and to create a sustainable foundation for corridors. Individual design (part II): I offer a potential land use proposal based on our research. I figured out the construction phases and the layout of the programs in order to create the positive connection through the linear green space (urban connection). And after analogizing vital typologies and the existing grid, I got the idea using "curve" to separate space and make connections. I also focus on people's feeling in my building, which is to create the spaces: interior, exterior and transition. And people have different feelings in my building because of curve shape. The spaces are quite different at every location where people occupy. Key words: big picture: Green belt, individual design: positive connection, curve

VENICE, FRANCE FALL 2012 INSTRUCTION: PROFESSOR X TEAM MEMBER: STUDENT X

Warm Warning War 62

With the global warming for design purpose, in order to create a live-work environment, Institution can totally support such a community. With the global warning, the polar melting glaciers " rising sea level" in many parts in the world. Venice, as s global famous "the water" supply, is also being suffered threat from sea level rise. Every ten years, sea level will rise horizontal plane by almost 5 centimeters, which lead Venice population to outgoing under long-term flood soak situation. This design is in line with " Warning the global climate change", by lifting the original architecture to give visitors especially Venetians a great visual impact. The foundation of buildings is using "Venice local special piles", and the structure of the surface retained, but " the new wall" will be created when lifting happened, adding ecological elements to make the new wall sustainable. Artists in this place can have a rest in the coffee shop, also can work together in open working spaces. Key words: Rising sea levels, warning the global climate change, Venice local special piles, the new wall

Concept

Lifting up the buildings adjacent to the rive, which offers a semi-open space on the ground level. In the extreme situation: with the sea level increasing, all the other buildings in Venice will be gone and our building survives, which offers a strong concept: Warning the global warming. In real situation: We digged holes on the ground floor. With the ebb tide, people will see the different heights of the water in the glass box, which is very interesting.

4. Bringing the two sites above the Rio canal

Slit: Grille afforestation Upper dense and lower sparse

Wisdom shines. Sometimes over the side effects it brings. Slow down the applaud. Distance might be what comes next. Evolution, happens childishly sometime. With the accelerator of science. And the support of incomparable Carbon Dioxide. It happens at the speed so fast, Straight to the end. Greed is what all of this spells. Doom Already rests silently in the waiting line.
