Classes, guided walks, camps, volunteer opportunities, and special events focus on the forest, grassland, and water ecosystems available in neighborhoods throughout the city. From young children to older adults, people of all ages can find active involvement with nature close to home.
Nurture a sense of wonder this summer through nature connection, hands-on science, and unstructured play! Designed for young children, campers experience nature directly through hiking, exploring, and discovering the world together. We are outside rain or shine! See all schedule and theme details at portlandoregon.gov/parks/ndc. While at camp, your child can expect both structured and unstructured activities as they take part in light hiking, games, songs, stories, and extended times of exploration and imaginary play. If this is your preschooler’s first experience at camp, give our office a call (503-823-3601)! We'll answer any questions you might have.
