REPLACEMENT PASSES If you lose your pass, we can replace it for a $2.00 fee. Bring your pass each time you visit. Without it, we cannot guarantee immediate access to the facility.

Special Circumstances Occasionally, specific facilities within the center (i.e. spa pool, lap pool, etc.) may be closed or have limited operating hours due to repairs, maintenance, inclement weather, holidays, &/or special events. Such closings will not result in a reduction of pass holders rates or drop-in admission fees.

Active Pass The MSCC Active Pass provides ongoing access to dropin programs throughout the facility. The Active Pass is not intended to be a one month pass and it is not recommended for less than 3 consecutive months. For your convenience, Active Passes will auto-renew each month. Simply register in person and pay your prorated first month fee by credit card and all future monthly payments are deducted directly from that same debit or credit card. Please see our FAQ or stop by the front desk for more information.

We request that children age 6 yrs or older use the locker room of their own gender or the family changing room with a parent or guardian. Three family changing rooms are located near the entrance to the swimming pool & are available for families with children &/or individuals with disabilities requiring assistance or special accommodations. All other individuals must use gender specific locker rooms.

Leave your valuables at home. Do not leave items in unlocked lockers. Bring your own lock or check out one at the front desk.

3 month & Annual passes – change in payment policy If you are a scholarship recipient, you may elect to schedule payments on your Visa or MasterCard. At this time the scheduled and automatic payment options are only available to Scholarship Recipients and Active Pass Holders. The general public may purchase a 3 Month & Annual Memberships only with payment in full.

The use of cameras, video recording devices and equipment with digital photography capability is strictly prohibited in locker rooms and public restroom facilities.

Cescel Mayes Monday 10-11am #371222 (4/9-5/7)

Thursday 10-11am #371223 (4/12-5/10) My years in coaching and working at MSCC have taught me the value of teaching sound fundamentals as the basis for building any fitness program. I observe many people (of all ages) who begin programs with great hopes and after a time, fall away simply because they have not mentally prepared themselves for the work they are asking their bodies to do. Any goal you set begins with a small first step.

Individual Personal Training Only Schedule your session with our Front Desk staff. I enjoy working with all populations, from those who have never walked into a gym to those who can’t stay away. It’s rewarding to help people who are intimidated by the gym to feel comfortable and safe while working out. For those who exercise on a regular basis it’s important to change your program so you don’t plateau or become bored with your workout.

Ruth Waldstein Wednesday 6-7pm #371224 (4/11-5/9)

Marc Brewer Tuesday 6-7pm #371225 (4/10-5/8) “Get healthy and live longer”. Start with an individual program that rejuvenates your body. I offer common sense guidance for losing weight and finding your own balance of exercise and positive attitude. Enjoy exercise strategies that improve flexibility, power and endurance.

Let me light your fitness fire. More activity raises our quality of life exponentially. My process evolves with each client’s activity level. Our family activity is what makes exercise a sustainable behavior. It is a fact that we gravitate towards parents’ habits or our children’s interests. I can design a dynamic routine for you and your whole family using movement to determine results. Using encouragement and acceptance along with a fun exercise program with repetition, you will love to “work out” with me. I emphasize safety and keep it fun. I am confident that with my personal attention, together we can get as close to your fitness goal as each client desires.

Within the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) of 1990, Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) provides accommodations to individuals with disabilities/special needs, so that they may receive an equal opportunity to fully participate in programs offered citywide. How it Works First choose the activity you’d like to do & the PP&R site at which you’d like to do it. Next, register for the class. When registering, let the person know that you will need accommodations in order to participate in the activity. Once registered, contact Inclusion Services at (503) 823-4328. If this is your first accommodation through Inclusion Services, you will need to do a phone intake with a staff member at that number. At the end of the phone intake it will be determined whether an assistant will be needed on the first day of the activity to provide on-site support at the age-appropriate class. Future assistance will be provided based on need. The inclusion staff will work with the instructor on how to support you and your individual needs. A general program may be adapted using auxiliary aids & services, but the basic structure of the program remains the same. Accommodations are made as needed & can be flexible & creative, ensuring the participant engages as independently as possible. If you have questions about Inclusion Services, please call 503-823-4328 V/TTY. A minimum of 10 business days (Monday-Friday) advance notice is required. The Inclusion Services staff will do their best to accommodate each participant.

The City of Portland will make reasonable accommodation for people with disabilities. Please notify us no less than five (5) business days prior to the event by phone 503-823-4328, or by calling the City’s TTY at 503-823-6868, or by the Oregon Relay Service at 1-800-735-2900.

Sellwood Community Center Refund & Credit Policy REFUNDS & CREDITS We ask that you notify Sellwood Community Center at least 3 business days before the start of your program so we can refund or credit your account for the registration fee.

INCLUSION SERVICES FOR PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS Within the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) of 1990, Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) provides accommodations to individuals with disabilities/special needs, so that they may receive an equal opportunity to fully participate in programs offered citywide.

Why this is important? This allows us time to either 1) contact participants on the waiting list or 2) cancel the class if the enrollment drops below the minimum required. If you withdraw less than 3 business days in advance: the cancellation or transfer is subjected to being prorated for the first class & any other classes that have already occurred at the time of withdrawal. Remember, the earlier you notify us of a withdrawal, the more we can credit or refund you. How will I receive my refund? • Payments made with checks or cash will be refunded by a check issued through the Portland Parks & Recreation accounting system. Please allow at least 10 days for processing time. • Payments made with Visa or Mastercard will be credited back to the same charge card.

Are you an instructor or can you refer an instructor to us? We are open to anything and everything (well, almost everything!) Call Patty at 503.823.3195!
