INTRODUCTION What is the essence of creativity? Well, eventually we just learn that it can be defined by utter madness, lack of time, challenges and production costs. Creating a magazine demands specific skills to be learned and the ability to manage problems by finding solutions. So, why did we do it? Was it to feel the excitement that appears when the content starts to come together? Or the pride in producing something we believe in and reflects the quality and talent of our work? Or purely an opportunity to fulfill a dream? Portrait Me is the result of all of these reasons and was initiated with the hope to create new contexts and goals. Finally the leading question was formed: What is it like to independently carry through a production from beginning to end? Over time this magazine has developed into more than just a creative project. For us as managers, it has required self-confidence, responsibility and cooperation. With intent to rely on our aesthetic sense and expertise, the idea of creating something personalized, representative and accessible for the public ultimately resulted in the image-magazine Portrait Me. A production that additionally created an opportunity to present our different talents and give our creative joy dignified space. Once we realized our theme had to be brought to the fore, we decided to base the magazine on portraits. Each and every photo given a thorough groundwork in order to highlight the qualities that distinguish a particular character. In a similar way the complementary images of graphic illustrations and photographs aim to highlight the specific features of an image. Furthermore, they are also important as they present us as multifunctional artists, create a harmonic variation and ensure that the portraits do not outshine each other. Portrait Me has resulted in a concept enclosing materials feasible for further work and advancement. Through new experiences our views have been broadened as to what an aesthetic project may entail. As well as the responsibility and motivation required of a manager has significantly encouraged our confidence as creators.
