Windermere Spring Fest 2015 Announces Charity Partners February 18, 2015 – (Orlando, Florida) – The Rotary Club of Windermere presents Central Florida's only Luxury Lakefront Lifestyle Festival. Windermere Spring Fest 2015 will be held April 17th-19th 2015 at the Pines at Windermere, it promises to be an action-packed 3-day lineup of lakeside fun, food and live entertainment for the whole family. The event is intended to give back to the community; all proceeds will go to support Rotary projects and local Central Florida charities.
The 3-day lineup begins at 5pm, Friday April 17th, with a lakefront gourmet dinner and cocktails, prepared fresh by local celebrity chefs. Ticket price of $100 for Friday night includes dinner, drinks, student art show, live entertainment and a sunset cruise on the lake. On Saturday and Sunday, a diverse range of Central Florida businesses exhibit the very latest in luxury toys, providing product demonstrations, free gifts and more. Through the generous support of Spring Fest exhibitors and sponsors admission to both Saturday and Sunday are free.
Proceeds from all Rotary of Windermere events go to support local charities. Through the Spring Fest 2015 event, the Rotary Club of Windermere hopes to raise significant funds for six local charities that do important work in our community: Edgewood Children's Ranch, Freedom Ride, Home at Last, Health Central, Shepherd's Hope and Nehrling Gardens. Edgewood Children's Ranch Edgewood Children’s Ranch is a nonprofit Christian childcare organization helping children, teens and their families address behavioral issues. Their live-in facility offers spiritual guidance, academic remediation, and behavioral training to children and teens ages 7-17.
Freedom Ride Freedom Ride is dedicated to enriching the lives and experiences of children and adults with disabilities in the Central Florida area through therapeutic horseback riding and related activities. Home at Last The mission of Home at Last is to build mortgage free, accessible homes for combat wounded disabled veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan war in appreciation for his/her service and sacrifice to our Country.
Health Central Health Central Hospital’s mission is to “improve the health of the community” by providing safe, quality healthcare services in an atmosphere of caring. Rotary Club of Windermere is honored to support Health Central projects: Circle of Friends, Dementia Neighborhood and Health Central Park Shepherd's Hope Shepherd's Hope is a faith-based organization of volunteers that provides compassionate health care to those in need by collaborating with community partners.
Nehrling Gardens Nehrling Gardens is the Florida Heritage Landmark home of renowned horticulturist, botanist, ornithologist and writer, Dr. Henry Nehrling.
