Westfield, NY – YWCA Westfield announced its annual Arts & Crafts Festival will take place the weekend of July 28th and 29th. The free twoday event is held at Moore Park, where visitors will be able to browse dozens of booths offering handmade items including original art, home and lawn decor, clothing, accessories and toys.
“We appreciate the committee work that goes into the Arts & Crafts Festival every year,” said YWCA Westfield Executive Director Stephanie Stevens. “This event is such a celebration of creativity and community and we really look forward to it.”
Approximately 125 vendors will offer a variety of craftwork and approximately 5,000 people are expected to attend over the course of the weekend. In addition to the shopping opportunities, food will be available from different vendors and will include sandwiches, salads, wraps, baked goods and ice cream.

“The Arts & Crafts Festival brings together the community as well as welcomes visitors to the area each year,” said YWCA Westfield Board President and event Chairperson Kathryn Bronstein. “Local art and craftwork is featured and it gives us a chance to show off what this region has to offer! Visitors can even stay in the YWCA Westfield Air BNB.”
Since its launch in 1971, proceeds of more than $160,000 have been invested to support community projects such as holiday decorations, a freezer for the soup kitchen, park benches, new trash cans and lights for safety and beautification.

In 1992, YWCA Westfield took on the planning and hosting of the event, which is now known as the YWCA Westfield Arts & Crafts Festival.
At that time Linda Dunn who was one of the event’s original organizers said that the event was ready for new leadership and that after 20 successful years, she believed it would continue for 20 more. Last year marked 30 more years, and the YWCA Arts & Crafts Festival is still going strong.
Mark your calendars now so you can plan to make the most of this event. For those attending, parking is available throughout the Village as well as at the Westfield Academy and Central School bus garage with continuous shuttles to the park and back. Proceeds from booth rental are now used by the YWCA Westfield to support its mission of empowering women and eliminating racism.

9. Oil Creek & Titusville RailroadShare the fun of train travel and relive our country’s oil history as you ride the OC&T ‘through the valley that changed the world.’
The Oil Creek Valley is world-famous for its past and the people that lived it. We take you back more than 150 years into the heart of Oil County in vintage cars built by Pullman in 1930. Our main station, Perry Street Station, is an early 1890s vintage freight station located at 409 S Perry St, Titusville, PA.
Your 3-hour round trip will take through scenic Oil Creek State Park, to where oil history began. You’ll learn about the people and places that made up Pennsylvania Oil Country. Your family can share the fun of train travel and relive history. See a variety of wildlife from groundhogs to bald eagles, with ducks, deer, and blue heron, as well as the occasional black bear.

We seek to increase equal protections and equal opportunities for people of color.
- We work to increase economic opportunities for women and girls of color, recognizing the importance of addressing the race and gender inequities that exist for all historically and contemporarily marginalized communities.
- We strive to improve the often disproportionately negative health and girls in our community. Throughout the years the organization has grown and changed to meet the needs of the surrounding area as well. We are proud to offer Before- and After-School Programs, Senior Programs, Community Events, a Stellar New Fitness Center, Facility Rental, some Terrific Airbnb Rooms, and more! A non-profit organization, our programming is funded largely by grants, memberships, and donations from community members like you. The YWCA Westfield is also governed by a Board of Directors who volunteer their time providing valuable learning opportunities and events for the village. Come join us! https://ywcawestfield.org

17. The Grape Discovery Center is the official Visitor’s Center for the Lake Erie Concord Grape Belt, designated a New York State Heritage Area in 2006. Developed by the Concord Grape Belt Heritage Association, it seeks to be an experiential destination that supports and promotes the grape industry through sharing stories and engaging, educating and informing the public about all things grape. Admission to the Center is Free and Wi-Fi is available. Donations are graciously accepted.
The Concord Grape Belt is located along the southeastern shores of Lake Erie in western New York and northwestern Pennsylvania, and is the largest and oldest Concord grape growing region in the world. The Concord grape is native to North America, and was first selected and propagated from wild seedlings by Ephraim Bull in Concord, Massachusetts in 1849. It was brought to western New York in the 1870’s where climate, geography, and soils proved to be very suitable to its production.
Established in 2004, the Concord Grape Belt Heritage Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of grape growers, juice processors and wineries, related grape industry businesses and regional organizations. Our mission is to encourage and support the grape and wine industries within the region, and to enhance the region’s quality of life. In May, 2013, the Grape Discovery Center was opened by the Heritage Association as a showcase for local grape-related products, and as a venue for sharing the rich history and culture of the region.
Tasting Bar. Enjoy a glass of wine or grape juice with friends in the Tasting Bar or on the Steve Baran Memorial Patio nestled beside a Concord vineyard. The Tasting Bar features local artisanal cheeses, cured meats, snacks, grape juice, and a weekly selection of wines from Lake Erie Wine Country.
Walk through the Star Family Exhibit Room to learn the story of the Concord grape and 150 years of grape growing in the Lake Erie region. Explore the history and science of grape growing, and the lifestyle of those in the industry.

Located on the shores of beautiful Chautauqua Lake, Midway State Park is a family treasure. Originally established in 1898 as a trolley park, Midway State Park is one of the oldest continually operating amusement parks in the nation. The first owners of the park constructed playing fields, tennis courts, bathhouses and a dance hall to entice customers to ride the trolley on weekends. In 1915, a new building was constructed with a kitchen, a large dining room and space for dancing and roller skating. Today, this building is home to a museum, gift shop, concession stands and other facilities.
